The Framework Laptop 16 review that
@JarrodsTech
just posted is by far the most thorough one that we've seen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojgYXaf3Tu0

Print proofs of every Framework Laptop 13 keyboard language in the production pipeline. (Again, proofs, NOT the final).

@gloopsies Hi, I'm not just the founder of our mastodon account, I'm also the Linux Support Lead, Matt.

I hear you, genuinely. I do and internally, its known this is an ask we all want.

Nothing planned at this time, but I am a vocal of a super key as something I'd love to see as well for the 13.

For the 16, however, yes, done and done (in the marketplace).

Fascinating results. Elevated Systems found that YouTube streaming battery life on Ubuntu is actually better than on Windows!

For those who have not watched the entire video. This is done using our guides to the letter - this means PPD only.

@reflex @sjuvonen @fedora Working to track this down (Linux Support Lead here, I run this account). What PPD version are you on and is it from the recommended COPR?

frameworkcomputer,
@frameworkcomputer@fosstodon.org avatar

@reflex @sjuvonen @fedora Ah, can't speak to XPS. However, I own one and have used TLP successfully.

@alex It's by design. The bezel is removable with different colors. It's an accent piece.

@alex It is part of the display removal process, so yes, there is that as well.

Quick question for anybody using a @frameworkcomputer with @ubuntu - After a firmware update, every time I log in I get the message "An important update has been installed." If I click to review it shows me that "UEFI dbx" has been updated.

This message comes back at EVERY login. Is there something I need to set in BIOS/UEFI to complete this operation and get this message to stop popping up?

frameworkcomputer,
@frameworkcomputer@fosstodon.org avatar

@mausmalone Would be worth opening a ticket for this. We'd want to see your logs to get to the bottom of what is going on and if this is worth refreshing the install or if we can tackle the message directly.

Loving my @frameworkcomputer laptop, and eagerly awaiting their support for the next @ubuntu LTS. Everything is great for the most part, but I feel like the update, especially to the kernel will smooth over a couple rough edges.

@ateriath @ubuntu Linux Support Lead here. We're beginning to test against the dailies. Shaping up to be exciting stuff. :)
