Arganos was a side-on action RPG title due for release on the by Intec around 1992. Featuring singing by Sumika Yamanaka and character designs by Taku Kitazaki - the game disappeared without a trace:

Donkey Kong Jnr. almost saw an impressive release thanks to author of Killer Gorilla, Adrian Stephens. Sadly, when Atarisoft collapsed, the game was canned - but thankfully a final version managed to sneak out into the wild, so you can play it!

Super Stardust almost had a conversion underway of sorts to the , when a prototype of the tunnel section was released in 2016. Requiring a REU, it sadly never had any serious plans to be finished and turned into a proper conversion.

After our recent post on the 16/8-bit editions of Bushido Warrior, remains of the version has been found and released today on , thanks to preservation efforts of Steve Brown. A neat oriental themed Gauntlet clone due for release in 1988.

Into The Shadows was an impressive looking 3D fantasy fighting game developed for Scavenger back in 1996 for , and . Only a rolling demo currently exists, but something playable is hoped to be found. Can it be saved?

Starglider 2 was an ambitious conversion attempt for the by Myth developer Pete Baron. Performance was an issue, and the publisher backed out of the conversion. Thankfully remains of development and source code were saved:

Something a bit different this week, with an early Sensible Software abandoned development called Uridibad for the . A parody of Uridium which the team planned to release as a quick budget title like Galax-I-Birds and likely via Firebird.

Body Slam was a arcade game converted to the , but never got released. It was thought to be slated for Silverbird's budget label, but perhaps the licence expired? Thankfully the full game managed to sneak out for you to play.

Who Dares Wins was a sneaky Commando clone on the , not quite escaping the wrath of Elite, who had the official conversion rights. Reworked and re-released as WDW2, thankfully the original version managed to sneak out in very limited form:

In July, we had a fun look at an April Fools prank game from Crash magazine called Danny Duster's Dirty Deeds. A game that never was (and never existed!), but one i'm surprised hasn't had a tribute game created yet.
