    @alien Yeah...I'm not voting for Biden in the primary, but come November 2024, I'm all in, if he's the nominee. I'm in a "safe" state that I could do a protest vote, but after 2016, I'm taking nothing for granted. There's too much on the line.

    Question for the Massachusetts people (Hi @universalhub!) Why doesn't BJ's have onion rings? They've got waffle fries, crinkle cut fries, tater tots, straight-cut fries, and sweet potato fries. No onion rings.

    KDE Plasma6 Beta2 (but the Live ISO won’t work)

    Hi folks.

    I have a nice set of packages ready for KDE Plasma6 Beta2 which was just announced two days ago.
    As you see from below screenshot, it runs nicely as a Wayland session, both logged in via the SDDM login manager and by running "startkwayland" from a console in runlevel 3.

    A few i

    @alien I forgot. You're nvidia? How's wayland on it these days? (Thinking of going AMD for my next video card.)

    @alien intetrst8ng. I thought plasma 6 was Wayland only?

    Is there a shortage on tater tots? Doesn't look like BJ's carries them anymore? They used to have huge 5-pound bags. They'd last forever.

    There is a positive ideal that says 'bad things happen so greater good may result'.

    Well, after Red Hat killed CentOS, that directly resulted in open sourcing Ansible for DevOps, which has to date led to at least 37,444 more people having the opportunity to learn Ansible than would've before.

    That's $347,065 of value created in response to a single bad decision ;)

    garpu,
    @garpu@mastodon.online avatar

    @geerlingguy I need to learn Ansible one of these days. Would like to work towards certs, too. Problem is, test is expensive, and I'd worry I'd blow it.

    @cmdln @ThePlant Good to know. Trying to wade through the Wheel of Time books, and it's a slog. I'm not sure I really feel like picking up another big series.

    @universalhub Yeah, so many landlords aren't taking vouchers, or charging "broker's fees" that price people out.

    multiboxing hurts legitimate players. This needs to stop.

    I ran Dragon's End today. Kicked these people when they joined, before we got a map to play on. They were not able to join our instance via squad.

    Within about two minutes, a map queue formed. These people running 5-6 accounts EACH maxed out the map's player limit of 60, and made it so legitimate players could not join and have fun. They waited in queue for an HOUR.

    Seven people could not join our fresh map and have fun.

    A screenshot of Guild Wars 2. Five players are stacked together, doing nothing.
    A screenshot of Guild Wars 2. A lot of jade mechs without visible players are stacked in the same location.

    @bass OH gotcha. Didn't know if I should report or not. Reporting botters in WoW does nothing.

    Liu Cixin’s sci-fi book “The Three-Body Problem” has been made into series called “3 Body Problem.” It will be on Netflix this spring and they just dropped a trailer.

    Ritual threw me a bone and let me 6-link my chest in SSF! Hoping I get enough eldritch currency to slam some nice implicits on it soon.

    Death Jack Elegant Ringmail: a 6-linked chest with a massive fractured life roll, two elemental resists, and extra armor+energy shield. It even has a free suffix!

    @alien are you on the lilypond mailing list? Sounds like Frescobaldi is abandoned. No word from the developer, and the people who were bugfixing don't have the time. (Plus qtwebengine needs to be updated badly, and nobody's able to do so.)
