@samlitzinger If you're unenthusiastic about Biden, primary him. Then we'll either get someone else or force Biden to change his views to get votes. Primarys have more power than people realize.
@samlitzinger Biden was always my last choice but take everything you hate about Biden and exponentially multiply them, and take any good thing about Biden and do the opposite and you get Trump. We have two parties, one that crushes decent with violence and wants to block free speech and the ability to spread alternative views and one that at least somewhat caves public opinion and direct action. Just voting for Biden did little(especially if we can't get the house and Senate working) but not voting against him will lead to do much more suffering and perhaps the end of democracy

But 2024, barring some exogenous event (yes, possible!), is shaping up as a race between Biden and Trump. That’s the real-world situation, as far as I can tell.
If Americans really want to save their democracy, there’s only one choice: vote for Biden.
Biden facilitated a literal genocide with our tax dollars. For those left of liberal, he's a non-starter. He's not gonna win, so if y'all want Trump to lose pick a different candidate.

@alien Yeah...I'm not voting for Biden in the primary, but come November 2024, I'm all in, if he's the nominee. I'm in a "safe" state that I could do a protest vote, but after 2016, I'm taking nothing for granted. There's too much on the line.
@garpu I will bluntly state that not voting will effectively benefit Trump. Voting Biden this once, even if you do not agree with his policies or even the Democrats' agenda, is the only option to save the USA from autocracy.

Democrats talking down and fear mongering voters while never delivering any substantive change is exactly why party support is low. Add to this Biden being a lousy choice before and enormous disaster now voter have nothing to vote "for".
@samlitzinger no one tired of all the corrupt bullshit. Donors love a stagnant legislature as nothing major gets done unless it financially beneficial to them then its bipartisan. Both parties are too corrupt to ever endorse with my vote.
@samlitzinger my focus is societal level as I know said corruption leads to only one conclusion one of governmental collapse. Preparing communities for this is the only way the most vulnerable will survive.
To say "vote for me and let me do whatever I want or else democracy ends" isn't a platform, it's a hostage-taker's demand.
If America is in a situation where voting for a man who loves cops and loves oil drilling is the only choice that young people who hate both have, then democracy already ended.
