Microsoft is really giving me a hard time. Trying to unblock a mail-server for outlook.com is ... challenging ...

Last treat: Whenever I try to load the SNDS site I get a 200 response with no content ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Other treats included help-pages with all links ending in 404s or logouts that do not log you out...

Sometimes I wonder whether that outlook thingy is just a huge phishing scam...

I need to convert to and I'm looking for a tool to do that.

The output should

โ€ข preserve line breaks in paragraphs
โ€ข not contain additional, unnecessary linebreaks (e.g. 4 empty lines between paragraphs)
โ€ข be configurable (e.g. whether to use * or _ for emphasis, or * vs - for unordered lists)
โ€ข if possible, allow me to hook into details (e.g. to convert <pre class="shell"> to ```sh)

@shochdoerfer yeah. "Quite quickly" is a rather relative term ๐Ÿ˜

We have with multiple hundreds up to thousand entries a delay measuarable in seconds. Just for the conversion. The individual conversion is quite fast and for a one off solution for sure not an issue. But when you do that in sclae it suddenly has an impact... ๐Ÿ˜•
