Looking at all your possessions and asking yourself whether you can live without it permanently [bin/rehome] or temporarily [earmark for storage] or must keep handy is quite exhausting.

The amount of stuff we accumulate with the intention of using it "one day" is frightening.

[On an unrelated note, 'earmark' is an odd word.]

@UnconventionalEmma Things are accumulating like crazy, indeed!

Questions "Can I live without it?" and "Do I want to throw it away?" are always difficult for me (so many thoughts, threads, and uses) - interestingly, at the same time, the question "Would I buy it today?" usually has a very clear answer: no.
Brains are weird ;)

    @purplepadma If I google correctly, you're using Wordpress com - sometimes choosing a different theme could be an easy fix here (if you still have the patience to play with it).

    @pitrouillesque I'd be happy to get to know each other better, too - I'm just a bit low on spoons these days, but absolutely 'yes' to that :)

    Polish is definitely interesting in the sense of being very different than Germanic and Romance languages (ha, I had to check the names - I didn't know it's called Romance language family!) - it's hard to think of specific cool facts about native language... What's most interesting to you? Grammar, vocab, pronunciation? :)

    As someone who primarily works on Keynote, I started losingggggg my mind when I had to get some work done on Powerpoint today. Keynote is so so so so much easier to use 😅

    My decluttering efforts are going well. So far, I've sold two boxes of books, donated 2 large bags of clothing to charity, Freegle'd a dehydrator and recycled a load of old envelopes and empty jars.

    Meanwhile, Ryan has... pondered what he can live without.

    Two stereotypes about us is we like and . I'm a “yes” and a “no”.

    I do like Prime numbers and Odd numbers:

    • 17
    • 13
    • 7

    17 is very special.

    • 17 is the 7th Prime
    • 1 is an odd number
    • 7 is an odd number
    • 17 is an odd number
    • 1 + 7 = 8, although an even number, it symbolises infinity and eternity, and us

    13 is also special.

    • A Prime
    • An Odd
    • A Fibonacci number

    And depending on whom you ask:

    • The 8th Fibonacci number
    • The 7th Fibonacci number

    Ironically:

    • The anniversary of my first romantic relationship was on: 1997-07-17. It was my first love who picked that, and she had no idea what my favourite numbers are.
    • My height is 175 cm or 5'7.5" to 5'8.5" (depending on whom you ask).
    • Favourite time of the day: 07:00 and 19:00 (7pm). 19 is the 8th Prime. (There's 8 again.)

    Remember the culinary 5 days workshop for teenagers my son attended during the holidays?
    Now they organize a culinary course, also for teenagers. Eight meetings, once a month and he is interested. Not a cheap thing, but a) he didn't want to travel with me and husband this year
    b) it's a social activity that he liked and is willing to continue (and yes, his psychiatrist encouraged me to find social activities, that he would be interested in instead of forcing him to interact, which I didn't, but)
