LittleBitMore, to worldbuilding

Does anyone know any good accounts for character design, worldbuilding, and other such shenanigans?

(here are some hashtags. I am so not used to using hashtags)

@LittleBitMore Hi! I don't have any accounts to recommend, but I have another cool thing: do you follow hashtags yet? This works the same as following people and puts you right in the middle of the conversations that interest you.

(to do this: click on the hashtag, and on the page with entries with this hashtag in the upper right corner there is an option "follow the hashtag" or an icon of a person with a plus sign; this works on the desktop and probably in most applications) 2/2

Well impressed with myself today. I changed the headlight in my car.

For many people this is simple but my car is a notorious brand that doesn't make it easy. If it was the driver's side then I'd have to take it into a garage to have the engine exhaust hose detached before being able to get to the light... Luckily this was the other side and I decided it didn't look difficult.

3 youtube videos and a socket wrench later, I did it! 💪

@miffyhelen Adblockers work wonders on Youtube, without ads it is/can be so great resource.
(I'm using AdBlock Plus on Firefox, but I know there are also others that work well)

A weird thing I do to figure out people's ages is I figure out how many years before 2000 they were born and add the current year (23). I don't know why I do that. It's really not any easier, and it's less efficient than just doing it in one step (2023 - 19xx).

The next upgrade of Mastodon should include a mandatory reminder when you forget to add to images. It should pop up every single time you try to post an image without alt text.

I'm not saying I am too nice for my own good I'm just saying my mom had to go to the pharmacy and while she went in a dude also going to the pharmacy had forgot his bikelock and since I am distracted and had to go to shops twice not to get my stolen (thanks ) I am now sitting by a stranger's bike to make sure it doesn't get stolen

How having weird special interests as an person saved the holidays of an old german couple and a lot of time at the lmao.

So I have a special interest in . It's often seen as weird. I am french, I speak English well enough to live my daily live in english if needed. I was securing my medication when I hear english in the pharmacy. Nothing unsual in the South of France. A couple of Germans (not unusual) wanted to fill in their prescription.

My autism gives me issues with clothing. Specifically, everything has to be soft (not scratchy!) and silent, it can't restrict my movement and any labels I can feel have to be removed.

I've never felt comfortable in skirts/dresses, especially after a creep at work told me "I like you in a skirt" when I wore one once. (It wasn't a sexy skirt, and he knew I was married.)

My boss once accused me of turning up for work in my "pajamas", when in fact I was wearing a lovely Indian-inspired 🧵

@UnconventionalEmma First, you're seen - and I'm very sorry. Clothes are a terrible concept.

Secondly: some time ago I heard a piece of advice that helps me a bit (not "to feel great with clothes" but rather "not to drown"): you can wear anything and it will be "fashion" as long as 1) you own it, 2) you have the one more thing this goes with. I'm not good at the first part, but the second one is specific enough and works for me (in pretending to grab this concept of thinking about outfits).

Next stage is to try and reduce the DOM. Currently at over 1,200 elements - mostly due to the large calendar on the page.
