Bicycled to the library
Bicycled to a garage sale
Bicycled to the store (solely to buy snacks for the pet rabbits 🤔)
Saw some fitness cyclers
A few kids on bikes
No adults doing any utilitarian cycling
Eight bazillion cars (Nobody walks/bikes in LA!)
Annoyed the clerks in a store asking them where the nearest bicycle rack was (answer: nowhere nearby)
@ai6yr I drove by those temporary bike lanes 2xs yesterday, looked like a construction zone despite the digital signs and small b/w arrow signs, had no idea otherwise

@ai6yr I’d love too! Although getting all my tools to the job would be difficult 😆.
OTOH, maybe I could use a new e mtb and use as a write off 🧐 anyone ever done that? #bike tooter
@ai6yr I’ve actually thought about it a few times. If my job is local I could drop off tools day one and last day and then ride my bike the in between days.
@ai6yr It’s nice this program exists however it would be even better if they included artificial turf removal as an incentive as well. That plastic lawn is nasty stuff!
@ai6yr I’ve probably used this chemical maybe 3-5 times over my life. Stripping old varnish and stain off doors and cabinets. Super nasty stuff! Burns your eyes, your skin, really can knock you out if you breathe it! It’s actually been a few years since I’ve even seen it in CA. Problem is,
it’s so good at stripping, that there really is nothing else that even comes close to doing a similar job. 1-2 coats of this for stripping and done. Today’s strippers can take 10 coats easy! I don’t even offer stripping anymore because it’s so labor intensive with sub par results, plus the health factor whether using ‘the good stuff’ or ‘the new stuff’ is really bad either way, Good Riddance!
Based on the amount of stuff on the curb today, it's apparently spring cleaning weather. Dressers, desks, shelves, coffee tables (many coffee tables), TVs... Typical of our middle class neighborhood. Although, better that it can be scavenged off the curb than directly into the trash!
@ai6yr I’ve got a working microwave that smells like a burnt cookie at my curb if you want it?😆 Daughter overcooked a muffin in the microwave and the whole garage filled with smoke and smelled for a week before I replaced it. 😳😂
@ai6yr When we bought our home in ‘15 it has an add on w a wood/gas fireplace. In our first week here, I’d notice a gas smell from it. I found the problem. Called the gas co to come check. He said no leak everything ok. I then went into the garage and turned on our gas dryer. Said to him to check again. Sure enough there was a leak at the fireplace gas fitting when the dryer in the garage was on. I cut that pipe out asap and since only use it as a wood burning fireplace. Until we renovate that room anyways……
Oxalis is underrated as a landscaping plant! The bees love it. Edible (in small quantities... though probably wouldn't eat these, the dog also likes marking it, ha ha) #gardening#garden#flowers
Another Biweekly rocket launch in the hood. Quite different than most I’ve seen. Well into the launch and I noticed 2 lights fall in its wake and just float slowly down. Almost looked like 2 satellites that weren’t tied down🤷🏼♂️😆 #spacex #starlink #rocketlaunch
Location of the oil spill of Huntington Beach (using Sentinel-2 satellite) -- filtered to show the white spots on the left on the surface of the ocean. #oilspill#HuntingtonCeach
@ai6yr Kinda strange how it leaked a yr ago. Aging infrastructure in play. I was just in HB last weekend and took some pics. You can see how close to shore the spill is. Here’s the rigs you mention and to the left are a couple oil tankers moored. Spill is probably in that area based on your sat view. #HuntingtonBeach
