Some are curious about my age because of my recent birthday. As an older woman you must understand I'm a bit reticent to share that information. But, what the Hell, I trust you all. 😊

I started thinking about this a bit more, and I really think it could be pretty great. With the “focus engine” that lets AppleTV hop between click targets, one could easily pop around a screen of widgets and select music/podcasts, photos, next tv show, etc. And a simple scroll down could bump you into the current AppleTV UI. Let’s do this, Apple!

My nearly-5-yo son has a very clear distinction of my technology.

When my iPad (Pro, 12.9") is in my hand, he says "daddy's reading on his iPad". When the same iPad is in the Magic Keyboard case, he says "daddy's working on his computer"

He's usually not wrong.

The iPad mini is my go-to travel iPad. I don’t even consider my 12.9” Pro for travel anymore.

I’ve drilled a hole in the case and stuck a MagSafe magnet thingy to the back of the iPad. Now the mini can use a MagSafe PopSocket and a MagSafe tripod mount. It’s glorious. The iPad mini should 100% have MagSafe on the back like the phones do. Charging, battery packs, accessories would all be great on this thing.

The mini paired with a Bluetooth keyboard/trackpad makes a nice little writing setup.

Had a conversation with a coworker yesterday about the . They didn't think it was worth $3500.

I then asked how much they, as a hobbyist photographer, spent on camera gear last year.

(spoiler: it was more than $3500)

Everyone has a hobby they like to spend money on. Don't yuk people's yums.

Would it be a little too extra to bring a tiny roll of electrical tape in my standard luggage to block annoying LEDs in a hotel room? Has anyone done this?

@rmondello 1. Go online and get two small rolls of ½”/13mm Gaffers Tape- one in black, one in white.
2. Take a small bit of pencil and wrap several feet off the big roll of tape around the pencil.
3. Put the little pencil stick of tape in your travel bag.

Gaff tape is better than electrical tape. It doesn’t stretch, it’s easy to tear, and doesn’t leave residue behind. I’ve been working off the same rolls of gaff tape for a decade.

And the pencil-roll trick saves tons of size and weight.
