After a truly torturous (in the right way) final level… I did it! What a deeply awesome game. I could've played it forever. My love for Nintendo grows ever stronger 😍
@cabel That last level was frustrating (could have used a couple more checkpoints) but also SO GOOD when it worked. I know it’s a long shot, but I’d love for them to release more levels focused on specific badge mechanics. There’s so much cool stuff to do with things like twirl jump and jet run!
Without looking it up—and if it’s not your actual job to know—where would you guess Twitter/X sits on the global top 10 social media platforms ranking? (Ranked by monthly active users.)
@cabel Ugh. I bounced off some of their recent stuff anyway, so at least I don’t feel like I’m missing much. But it makes me less enthusiastic about seeing them live. 😞
"Wolin’s book shows how Heidegger was far from resisting Nazism in any way. Rather, he was engaged in a struggle for influence within the regime, claiming to be able to teach others about the “inner truth and greatness” of the Nazi “movement”. Heidegger wanted to be the philosopher whose ideas could “lead the leaders”."
@ahmetasabanci Oof, I’m going to have to read this book. I took a Heidegger seminar in college and his analyses still come to mind regularly years later. I also remember how the commentary softened and downplayed any connection he might have had to the Nazis. Clearly it’s time for me to fill in the rest of the picture.
