Does anyone think NPR does NOT have a liberal bias? That doesn’t mean they’re a propaganda factory like Fox, OAN, and other RW media. Every journalist who is not a conservative activist, has a liberal bias. They still operate under journalistic standards.

The problem is that free speech, truth seeking, and the rule of law are apparently exclusively liberal concepts, now. It’s not NPR’s fault that the GOP abandoned the principle of professional integrity.

@nateb Netflix will cancel anything for no reason. I consider their current track record to be about the same as relying on random chance, which is why I avoid getting invested in their shows as much as possible.

@nateb I thought it was good, notably not having any other experience with the franchise, although some of the stuff I've been reading does make me suspect I'll like some stuff from the more faithful Tencent adaptation more. I think I'll end up liking both for different reasons, once I get around to watching it.

There have been so many fantastic sci-fi TV shows that have come out in just the last 5 years alone though, that makes this series definitely not a genre-leading/defining one, which is unfortunate for Netflix.

@nateb side note, I am a little annoyed that the titular problem is actually a four body problem... but I'll let that go because it would've been a less catchy title, and I don't think the science itself is really supposed to hold up to any scrutiny anyways 😆

@ernie as a user of both tools, I'm not super excited about this. The products are far too different, which makes me think Canva might ruin it.

Nowadays I'd use MS Paint before going back to Adobe though, so...

Seems like patched this up in time for their EEA update, no more regedit region switching in as far as I can tell 🤔

So I read "When" by Daniel Pink yesterday and took a couple of his tips to heart today and I gotta be honest, I did feel more energetic by the time I got home. I'm dead tired now, but "by the time I got home" is an improvement. I'll have to keep trying more stuff.

Why is the IRS Direct File program just another tax software? I don't want different tax software from you Mr. Taxman, I just want you to send me a bill/refund yourself. You literally already have all my 1099s and W-2s and whatever, buy a computer and sort it out.

How much storage are people using on their Mac? 💻

I’ve outgrown 256 & 512 GB & feel I need at least 1 TB with my current usage. I don’t carry external SSD’s and prefer to keep all my files/photos on my device.

I think Deadspin was purchased by either a sports betting company or a company with a close association with a sports betting company.

I did a bit of internet sleuthing and found the IP address of the company that just purchased Deadspin is also hosting a casino spam site on the same hosting platform.
