I always use the advanced Web interface for Mastodon to do my "boosting thang" efficiently.
Normally I don't comment on the software. But a sudden change to the Notifications tab in the v4.3.0-nightly.2024-03-18 build is really pissing me off.
I can now only choose between viewing "All" and "Mentions." Gone is the ability to easily filter by notification type in the column header.
WTF?!? This is a hostile UI simplification. Please revert this. Thank you.
Reinstalled Tuba to see how it's progressing, and it's become really high quality since I last checked. I think I'll be skipping the web and using this on desktop Linux from now on. https://tuba.geopjr.dev/
@boilingsteam "The keynote is available online now, so you can watch it in full, but I donโt recommend it unless you want to waste one hour of your time" you da real mvp
I guess it tells you more about โFOSSโtodon than anything else that they chose to block a human rights activist/privacy advocate who wakes up and works at a not-for-profit on free and open software every day. Maybe if I were to work at Google and hack on a hobby open source project in the evenings Iโd be acceptable?
smh
Edit: โsilencedโ not โblocked (i.e., suspended)โ
@aral while I agree with the sentiment, the companies absolutely have, and as employees of the company the CEOs are bound by them. Do you think MS Office for the Vision Pro wasn't legally bound in secrecy?
