A question for any users who submit builds to the builds.sr.ht service via its git.sr.ht integration (https://man.sr.ht/builds.sr.ht/#gitsrht): are there any tricks to having a persistent main branch .build.yml file in place, whilst trying to minimise the load on the build service?

I know about git push -o skip-ci, but I'm definitely not going to remember to do that on every push to (or config of) each non-build-worthy branch.

Any ideas/tricks/etc?

Which of the in this list would you use to mark the start of a distinct step in some documentation? ":step:" isn't available :-( https://github.com/ikatyang/emoji-cheat-sheet/blob/master/README.md

I know this'll be unexpected, possibly unpopular; and it's a big, big decision, but ...

I've decided to change my standing desk layout so the screen's in portrait mode.

I will not be taking questions at this time.

@sarahdal Heya ๐Ÿ‘‹ So I recall your XLS-shouldabinnaDB problem, and I noticed that @simon posted this (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=37199041) in a (๐Ÿ™„) HN discussion of Datasette, his open-source-but-also-SaaSy data-thing - and his comment stood out to me as something you /might/ be able to use to help convince your, er, colleague that using something DB-ish is a positive, & not the loss-of-control that I infer from your toots that you believe they might fear!

Does anyone know (or could point to) the theoretical or practical limit on the number of deployed functions that an account can contain? I can't see the question answered anywhere.

Not concurrent executions; not provisioned capacity; not create-function-requests-per-second; not function versions ... but the number of uniquely named functions that can be deployed, possibly sitting unused, ready to be invoked, in an AWS account ... ๐Ÿค”

people: what are your favorite apps? I use all the time, I prefer for , for rss reading, to quickly look at a repo. for system monitoring. That kind of thing. Any other great apps out there I should be using?

@jamesrylandmiller @neil I believe I recall @JustineSmithies amongst others, in having positive things to say about - a TUI email client that seemed to make folks happier than mutt :-) Iโ€™ve not used it, however, so donโ€™t know about its non-plaintext-mail support/UX โ€ฆ

What can I check out that would give me a closer-to-hosted-Wordpress level of โ€œchoose theme; type words; have websiteโ€ initial effort (even if that absolutely implies a low degree of customisation/flexibility)?

Today I walked a round trip of 13km: up Shotover hill, down into Wheatley for a coffee, up past Wheatley windmill and down into Horspath. I peeked though the windows of the primary school that I last attended a third of a dang century ago, and went back up and over Shotover country park. It was a fantastic hike, made even better by the wood absolutely bursting with bluebells!
