    One of the aspects I’ve enjoyed the most about moving homes so far has been to design bespoke 3D-printable things for the new place, such as fittings for cable management and a light fixture with hanging lamp cords for the dining table.

    I don’t often get to do honest-to-goodness industrial design at work, so it feels good to flex that muscle a bit for personal projects.

    What would the people who wrote, and ratified, the Fourteenth Amendment have thought about this Supreme Court decision?

    Would they have thought, oops, our bad. We didn’t write that clearly enough.

    They didn’t want anyone who had participated in an insurrection ever to hold public office, much less be allowed to run for President. They said that as clearly as they could.

    They didn’t specify an enforcement mechanism—they trusted us future people to work out the details.

    We’ve let them down.

    Certainly there will come a time when a hackintosh can no longer support the latest macOS, which makes it less attractive.

    At that point it'll be more of a retrocomputing thing.

    But it did lead to Open Core Legacy Patcher, which has let older Intel Macs use newer versions of macOS than Apple allows.
