@tonyarnold Yup, had the same thought when I saw their event and the ad on Tuesday. With all their talent, I think Apple should’ve been able to think (of something) different. Not a great look for a company that calls itself sustainable and makes environmental impact one of its core values.

My grandmother passed away today. I feel so privileged to have known her, and for my children – her great-grandchildren! – to have known her too. 98 is a fantastic age, and I’ll always remember her love and kindness ❤️

    @marcel Thanks, just installed it but there seems to be a bug. Literally can’t do anything when opening the app. Just shows this screen. Force quit and reinstalled but still not working.iOS 17.3 RC

    Gibt's in #Köln eigentlich Streifen des Ordnungs- und Verkehrsdienstes auf dem Rad? Ich habe noch nie eine gesehen und das deswegen bei der Stadt Köln mal angeregt.

    Der Dienst ist zu Fuß oder im Auto unterwegs, aber aus der Perspektive vom #Fahrrad aus sieht die Welt ganz anders aus, und eine Signalwirkung hätte es auch, u.A. für Radwegparker.

    @ajkaestner Habe sie schon ziemlich oft auf der linken Rheinseite gesehen. Sowohl auf dem Fahrrad, als auch auf dem Motorrad. Dann auch öfter zu zweit unterwegs. Also sie existieren. Denke, dass die Mitarbeiterinnen besonders im Herbst/Winter aber oft das Auto oder zu Fuß gehen vorziehen, was ich durchaus nachvollziehen kann. @superbasswp @fahrradkoeln

    @kepano I would’ve said tables but they’ve already been implemented. Great job btw!

    Two other things:

    1. As a user I’d love a better way to quickly capture on mobile. Using Tot by @Iconfactory for this.
    2. As a developer I’d love to see a breakdown of how you handle all those flat-file operations and how they’re implemented under the hood. Feels super snappy even with larger vaults with lots of markdown and YAML front matter.

    @sass I use @ivory as my main client and also have the official @Mastodon app installed for some settings Ivory doesn’t support (yet). Really dig @radiant too, such a great app and icon!

    After 1047 days, my AirPods Max might be dead. 💀🎧
    They fail to connect to devices 80% of the time, often requiring 2-3 factory resets before repairing. Battery drain is also an issue; they'll drop 80-90% overnight, even inside their case.

    @BasicAppleGuy Read an almost identical story here on Mastodon just a day or two ago. Got AppleCare+ for mine and will make sure to get them replaced (or at least the battery) before the extended warranty ends. Hope the Genius Bar can help you 🤞

    Ich hab mir an Tag 3️⃣ der neuen Einbahnstraße auf der Venloer Straße mal die Situation angeschaut. Immerhin ist es DER! #Verkehrswende-Hotspot in #Köln.
    Dies sah zwischen 8:10 und 8:25 Uhr wie folgt aus:

    👉 Kein Chaos
    👉 Auf ein Auto kamen ca. 5 Fahrräder
    👉 Es gab einen Blitzer
    👉 Ordnungsamt war unterwegs
    👉 Ein Auto fuhr gegen die Einbahnstraße

    Fazit:
    Die Venloer Straße hat sich durch die Einbahnstraße krass positiv verändert.
    Ich bin echt überwältigt 👍👍

    @DrSeltsam @Cityradler @fahrradkoeln @koeln Als Anwohner kann ich sagen, dass vor allem im Berufsverkehr die Vogelsanger und die ganzen Seitenstraßen nun teils hoffnungslos überlastet und verstopft sind. Das wird sich natürlich etwas legen aber das Problem wurde in Teilen einfach nur verschoben statt gelöst.
