Another odd thing. I saw this rotting flower & was immediately transported back to my aunt's bathroom & the crocheted doll that used to sit on top of the toilet roll.

Which is a little unkind about my old aunt's decor really, as her doll had a delightful pink dress as I recall with no rotting involved at all, but the shape is just perfect.

Right. That's this mornings odd observations (oddservations?!) out of the way over coffee, now to Sensible Things.

And there's so much to delight in the Discworld, but it is raining outside & when I am out in the rain I always think of Granny Weatherwax, refusing to hunch up & just moving through it.

I've never managed to avoid getting drenched without aid. Indeed, when dashing out to the bins in a downpour I will wear the umbrella hat we mysteriously own & deep down I think she would approve of the pragmatism of the decision.

(FWIW the whole screen is a visually loud set of tessellated hugs gently moving, and if you swipe them around they can end up moving relatively fast; if you've got a delicate head you might not want to click)

@formschub Deine Wut kann ich gut nachvollziehen. Die Abkehr vom Papst bzw. der katholischen Kirche habe ich vor langer Zeit vollzogen und wundere mich über jede*n, derdie damit noch hadert.

Solche Perspektiven sind unmenschlich, und der Schaden, den der Papst im Leben gläubiger Menschen und denen, die mit ihnen leben müssen, anrichtet, verursacht unermessliches Leid.

Nachricht von meiner Long Covid-Freundin. Sie ist durch Arbeitsüberbelastung wieder in der Krankschreibung.

Wir haben uns seit anderthalb Jahren nicht mehr gesehen, da die Kraft dafür fehlt.

Eine bis dahin fitte, leistungsfähige und sportliche, gesund lebende und geimpfte Frau ist immer noch aus ihrem Leben gerissen. Sie klagt nicht, aber ich weiß ja um die Krankheit und ihre Auswirkungen.

Stabil viele tolle Menschen bei

Highlights für mich Deichkind (die einfach immer dabei sind gegen rechts) und die wirklich gute und klare Rede von Maja Göpel.

Allerdings sind 90 Minuten Stehen, bevor sich die Demo in Bewegung setzt, einfach zuviel. Es war echt kalt und ungemütlich.

Außerdem nerven die vielen Palästinaflaggen, die von den Organisationen ausdrücklich nicht gewünscht werden und sch trotzdem breit machen.

Von meinem Heimweg habe ich noch einen Gruß aus Altona ✊️😷❤️🖤

Ich persönlich finde und befriedigender als "wir sind die Brandmauer" zu skandieren.

Der Begriff Brandmauer ist für mich durch CDU und Co. komplett entwertet und entleert worden.

Aber wir brauchen auch die breite Bewegung.

Ja, die Freunde der Hamas postieren sich gezielt vor der Bühne, um die Bilder zu dominieren. Mir sagte jemand, die Organisationen der Demo könnten dagegen nichts machen außer die Polizei zu rufen.

Ich wünsche mir, dass sowas nicht geduldet wird, weiß aber, dass das für die Organisator*innen sicherlich nicht so einfach ist.

Zu lange und zu komplex lasse ich gelten. Aber viele wichtige Punkte drin, und man kann ja nicht bei allen Demos immer die gleichen flammenden Ansprachen halten.
Die komplexen Ursachen zu benennen, finde ich wichtig.

Habt Ihr gesehen, dass das Pandemieradar vom Bund neu aufgesetzt wurde?

Jetzt steht bei Auslastung der Normalstationen auf der Übersicht "stabil" und erst beim Anklicken sieht man: bei 85%

Bei den Todesfällen durch COVID heisst es beruhigend "sinkend". Erst beim Weiterklicken sieht man die Zahl: 258 Tote pro Woche.

Das finde ich schon mit Absicht irreführend.
