I said 5 years ago when the teachers' strikes began, but we're at the crest of the biggest wave of labor organizing since WWII, and owners & execs can feel however the fuck they need to feel, but it's happening. The pop culture moment of actors joining in today will make this real to millions more who don't pay as close attention, but who do see what happens to stars they know.

This week I learned the human appendix is only about the size of your first finger but over my life I’ve always assumed nature’s garbage bag in our bodies was way larger, like at least fist sized.

So fucking angry about the latest SCOTUS decisions on affirmative action, student debt relief and anti-LBGTQ discrimination. I need the Democrats to get angry too.

But of course in this country, Republicans scream and cry victim if they get a paper cut, while the Democrats nod and smile as you burn down their fucking house.

I recently realized doing a college campus tour with your kid is all about checkin the vibes of the place, making sure they feel good and not off in any way. Since many colleges are similar on paper, campus vibes are everything.

It also made me realize buying a home and going to open houses is basically just vibe checks after you've figured out which places on paper seem most promising.

Woke up this morning and thought dammit, I’ve wanted a small kayak for river paddling for many years. Today I should actually make this happen.

Opened Craigslist and one hour plus 17 emails later I find two kayak mounts for my trailer rack plus two nice kayaks, all for half the price of new.

So basically this is a summary of my day in two images:
