I just wanted to take a moment to remember Ahmaud Arbery, who was murdered 4 years ago today at the age of 25 while simply jogging through a neighborhood in the middle of the afternoon.

His death shook me more than George Floyd, I’m kind of used to the police murdering people. I’m was NOT used to inbred hillbillies murdering people in the middle of the afternoon in residential neighborhoods, and then the police not bothering to arrest them for months.

I’m totally ignorant about hormones, but if there’s any chance that the estrogen they would give me as a middle aged woman works for trans women, hit me up.
I’m down to do some drug diversion if it would save someone’s life and sanity.

You guys, this is terrifying. I’m freaked out that nobody seems to be talking about this except for people who are actually homeless.
“In April, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear a major case that could reshape how cities manage homelessness. The legal issue is whether they can fine or arrest people for sleeping outside if there's no shelter available. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has deemed this cruel and unusual punishment, and this case is a pivotal challenge to that ruling.”
https://www.nhpr.org/national/2024-02-20/how-far-can-cities-go-to-clear-homeless-camps-the-u-s-supreme-court-will-decide

I hope y’all realize that this could happen to anyone. I never thought I would end up homeless I started working at 14 & I worked multiple jobs at a time most years, I had careers, I went to college and got a degree, I had savings. Then I became disabled in an accident I didn’t cause. It kicked in MECFS too. I didn’t have three years worth of savings, which is how long it took for the SSA to approve disability for me. Three years. So of course I ended up homeless.
But even once I started getting disability payments, and even with a large lump sum from all the backpay they owed me, it was still a struggle to get housing because my disability check wasn’t 3 1/2 times any rent anywhere. I also had a part-time job so my averaging income was four dollars more than the minimum wage here but it still wasn’t enough to qualify to even apply for an $825 one bedroom apartment.
The only reason I’m not homeless anymore is because I finally got to the top of the section 8 waitlist, it took five years. I moved up quicker because I was homeless and because I had a job in the city I was applying in, but it still took five years.

Is the CDC doing this to screw kids over with student loans? If this kid’s grades get too low in school because of this they can get kicked out of college and their student loans come to six months later, job or no job.

Will there be criminal charges against the corporation who poisons its customers or no?

So apparently that laced is everywhere right now.
If you saw the story about the guys watching a Kansas City game and three of them freezing to death outside the home they were partying in, turns out they were doing cocaine and they tested positive for fentanyl. That would explain why the dude hosting the party slept for two days. I don’t think he was lying about that.
I mean I guess we don’t know that they weren’t doing fentanyl on purpose, are something that people would do to watch football? It seems like they would prefer the cocaine and beer alone

I don’t understand how people dare fly these days. Between the pilots with the Covid brain damage, the shortage of air traffic controllers meaning they are all overworked, the article that explained that airport check-in areas are dirtier than a public toilet, and the trashy planes that are falling apart because Boeing didn’t think it was worth it to buy the good bolts because it would cut into their profits.

Another flight forced to divert

A United Airlines flight traveling from San Francisco en route Mexico City was forced to divert to Los Angeles on Friday, marking the fourth time this week that the legacy carrier experienced an emergency in the air. The Friday diversion happened due to a problem with the aircraft's hydraulic system. Other incidents this week included a tire falling off a plane and an engine catching on fire.

I just learned about “Leads On Line”

Apparently in New Hampshire there’s a statute that says secondhand dealers, like pawnshops, and even those cell phone recycling machines at Walmart are required to enter information into a database that the police can just search whenever they want.

They can search my name if they are interested in what you are doing and expect you to be going to a pawnshop, and I believe they can search by merchandise to see if any has received whatever item they are looking for.

I feel like there should be a disclaimer at these places of business that inform people that they will be going into a database the police can browse whenever.

you just don’t hear about it because folks aren’t running around advertising what’s in their pants.

This is crazy to me. I mean I don’t understand why people live in Florida in the first place, it’s always humid and disgusting and a sinkhole could open up at any moment and swallow your whole entire entire house. But this is crazy.

“Well, the other day the state of Florida outlawed these documents for Floridians, making owning them an arrestable offense, but also intentionally made the application of the law so vague that it is applicable to everyone that’s had a name and gender marker change in any state. I had my documents updated to best reflect who I medically was born as according to my doctors.
It would be illegal for me to use my identity documents in any official capacity, like operating a motor vehicle, boarding flights, filing I-9 documents with a Florida based employer, filing Florida state taxes, or going to school. For those still in Florida who are in my shoes, you could add voting to this list of things that will get someone thrown in jail.”
It is now against the law for me to drive or go to school in because I’m a : r/TwoXChromosomes https://www.reddit.com/r/TwoXChromosomes/comments/1afteeh/it_is_now_against_the_law_for_me_to_drive_or_go/

Some would say that pointing out his cognitive disabilities is ableist and we should just pretend he’s fine so people with brain fog (like me) won’t feel bad.

I say that tone policing is a tool of the oppressor, and we should call out incompetence when we see it. Regardless of why he is incompetent.

Genuine question, where do we draw the line on this way of thinking?

I need money, there’s an Adderall shortage, is society fine with me selling my medication because I need money and other people need Adderall?

I need money to live, is it OK if I become a hitman for cash? People are going to die anyway, if someone’s willing to pay to get someone killed that person is probably not a great person, so is society cool with me becoming a hitman because I really need the money?

OK is society OK with me becoming a hitman for one day pay? Is the line on being a hitman drawn if I get too much money for the murder but a few days Pay is fine?

Is it the amount of profit where people draw the line?

What the F are the Ds doing?? I don’t want to hear shit about public schools anymore from these people when they just approved domestic terrorism to the school board.

I don’t even have kids and I’m mad about this what even is this?

I went to go look at what was in the funding bill because for some reason New Hampshire decided to award me an extra five dollars and food stamps on Friday going forward, and I’ve had no change, so I was looking to see if there were changes in the government that would have triggered that. but instead I found permission for MAGAt domestic terrorism. Nice job people.
