I don't know if i took my pills today, and the pill box was in a slightly wonky almost empty state because i forgot to take some evening pills last Wednesday. Double dosing on hormones would probably be ok, but double dosing on my ADHD meds? Uh... 🤷‍♀️ i dunno. Probably ok?

I have some slightly lower dose pills from when my script was lower. Maybe i take pills but use the lower dose ADHD med in case I've already taken it?

@movation i use this thing to keep track. It usually works well, but my forgetting sometimes throw things off when the week wraps around. I think it would be problematic because of the forgetting to.

Re “no such thing as bottled medication” Dafuck?! How does that work? No pills? Or????

Once again, I am over 2k toots behind in my feed… bankruptcy time.

I don’t know if I need to cull the people I’m following or make more lists so I can select a subset of toots to view or what. But I just can’t keep up with my feed anymore. Gotta figure out how to manage that.

@dachary I started culling. Following too many people on the bird site led to me missing too many posts by the people i cared about more. Trying not to end up in the same situation here.

Was pondering AAVE's "ax" instead of "ask" & how much it annoys ignorant white folk who don't get that AAVE is a full-on dialect not lazy speech. I think maybe it's so annoying because it's not just a word transposition or weird conjugation but a sound transposition of a common word.

TIL that's called a "metathesis" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metathesis_(linguistics) & until the ~1600s English had a word for asking with the "ks" sound.

Tulip escaped again! She’s too smart! I caught her but she almost got taken by the house spider. She is home safe. I’m so glad she’s ok. This ant will be the death of me. Why do I have such bad sneaky little ants??

So um. This happened. The spool has became detached spread apart and then wound tightly around one side and stopped being able to spin in the AMS

I guess I am printing a re-spooler next .

We just got our septic tank emptied and i swear i was starting to gag from the smell as they started to pull tubes off the truck.

Ran in side and put on my heavy-duty N100 respirator. Every time I need that thing I am SO thankful.

After that I couldn't smell a hint of it, and was able to converse with the guy about what the problem was.

Needed to buy new bras == WTF⁉️

  • remeasured because silly not to.
    My torso circumference seems to be shrinking, while my boobical circumference remains pretty constant. Weird.

  • checked size chart just because
    I'm a 35DD but sizes are only even numbers. So I double checked the size chart. It claims i should buy a 40A. 🤯

What⁉️ There's no way a bra 5 inches too big around is ever going to stay in place?! And "A" Cup⁉️ "A" cup is like 🤔 "technically you DO have breast tissue".

@jsit i don’t think you understand the level of corporate paranoia when it comes to apple. Even if i still worked there i would be 100% incapable of looking at any codebase i wasn’t assigned to. Not evn “Calculator”

Because it’s bo longer supported I’m betting no-one is assigned, which means only system admins and C-levels with ego based access levels could look if they wanted to

While they’re frequently curled against each other on the dog bed by my desk, it’s usually because black dog was there first and the other dog shoved his way in.

Black and white dog being used as a pillow however is a rare and special thing.

Makes NO fucking sense. To fly your colors is to present yourself with your unfurled flag (your "true colors"). Which is related to how pirates would NOT show their colors to trick people into letting them get too close. OR how you could fly false colors to pass where you weren't allowed.

So, You have [done x] with flying colors means.... "You did X and claimed to be someone while doing it!" WHich is... uhh... ok?

Once upon a time Quark Express was the "king" of professional page layout apps & Photoshop the king of image editing. Then at a conference (MacWorld?), Quark introduced the most incredible "photoshop killer" anyone had seen. It had non-destructive editing with unlimited instant undo, on hardware that's laughably slow by today's standards. The live demo was AMAZING and had a crowd all day long.

And then, it disappeared & never came to market.

What as it called & what happened to it?

Did a recent release of Sonoma break the ability for Shortcuts to send keystrokes? Because it USED to work, and Privacy & Accessibility stuff is still turned on to allow it to control this computer. And yet...

@arnan that’s a good suggestion, and when I have considered. However, I feel like Automator is a “dead man walking” I would prefer to try and work within the systems Apple is actually paying attention to… well, as much as Apple pays attention to anything they have already released ;)
