Changing the gender on your license in Vermont is just a matter of filling out the form!

That seemed too easy so I kept digging and found a queer & trans support place and they're like "nope. No proof needed"

With the electrician now 3 hours late I'm starting to de-stress because I figure he just isn't coming.

So, trying to find something positive in this e🐄💩:

• I got a decent selfie out of it (see below)
• I found a pair of glasses that I like and can just replace lenses in next time I get my eyes checked‡
• I found & ordered some bras with a promising looking fit.
• i can eat lunch.

‡ hormones change eye shape (!!!) & I'm not thrilled with last prescription, so waiting is good.

I was at the grocery store last night and every checkout line was very backed up. A pair of women with an extremely full shopping cart got into the 15-items-or-less line and caused further delays by asking questions about the prices of many items, and having the wrong items for coupons they had (necessitating them going back to the aisles to get the right items).

The customer in front of me, who was buying a gallon of milk and a box of cereal got increasingly disgruntled over how long it was taking and started talking shit to the cashier for letting the women bring their giant order through the express line.

The cashier didn't really know what to say, so he was deflecting, and I felt bad for him. When he left to go get a bottle of alcohol from the locked liquor cases, the disgruntled customer turned to me and apologized for making a scene.

I told him it was fine, but he shouldn't be getting mad at the cashier because retail employees aren't really allowed to say anything to bad customers.

When the cashier came back, the disgruntled customer apologized to him several times, and said he knows he's just trying to do his job.

And then he started talking shit to the two women instead.

Well, i've been stressing the fuck out about this electrician showing up for over an hour and a half now. So.... that's fun.

No call. Just.... not here.

Side note: this is a ridiculously expensive job we're asking him to do. Not some little "can you rewire an outlet?"

But even that doesn't seem to make it worth an "i'll be late" or "not coming" call.

In ~10 minutes the only electrician who bothered to return our phone calls will be arriving, after
about 6 months of waiting.

I have to make a choice:

1. "femme it up" in hopes of increasing my meager chances of passing.
2. "butch it up" and go through multiple days of trauma as he works on our house.

I'm choosing 1, because "fuck you this is my house". Unfortunately tradespeople have a tendency to be extra trump-loving around here. So, this'll be trauma no matter what.

Uhh… AI actually did something that impressed me.

This woman gives it a simple prompt, and it makes a decent heavy metal song that matches it.

Of course, this is going to have the exact same problem of every other AI generator in that generating random things that match a vague prompt is easy, but it would utterly fail to handle specific criteria in a detailed prompt.

Well, I think I have found out why the sizing chart suggested that I - a 35DD - should order a 40A.

Technically, this elastic can stretch to the 36 inch circumference that it claims. However, that is 8.5” (21.5cm) beyond its starting point!

What the actual fuck⁉️ Why would you do this to a person? This thing is SO tight! If I gained even a hint of weight and tried to wear this for a day, I’d have to go to the ER.

I will never buy this brand (Auden) again.

Just spent ... far too long digging into NY, VT, and NH laws defining the hoops required to get gender affirming care.

NY's hypocrisy can fuck itself. NH is going all-in on the fascism. VT is… meh.

ALL of them (probably all states) have laws assuming trans people are incapable of making the same decisions about their bodies that CIS people can and need to be approved by mental health professionals. They also require adherence to the gender binary to be trans enough to be approved.
