That VAR check was completed in shockingly quickly. Clear studs into calf, bending the leg. It’s been a red card all year long. Except now.

@mlawton there’s no point comparing it to previous games because each ref and VAR is different. What is telling that two dreadful Liverpool tackles happened just after, which also got no cards…rightly or wrongly this ref has shown he is happy to be very lenient.

@mlawton Neither Carra or Redknapp thought it was a red card either btw, and mentioned the Curtis Jones one, which they also thought wasn’t. Two wrongs don’t make a right!

@britt can’t even fathom that. I went out running in -5C (-8C with windchill) and my beard froze solid and the sweat on my gloves and hat turned to frost by the time I got back home!

I finally finished 2 from the Ezio Collection on the . 45h clocked — I didn’t realise it was quite so big when I started! For a game I mainly play for half an hour before bed each night…it took me a while. Really good though, much improved from the first game.

Need a palate cleanser next. Not sure if and when I’ll go back for Brotherhood/Revelations, considering the commitment required.

Occurred to me yesterday that I'd never heard the free show that Rage Against The Machine put on in 2010, as a thanks for the Christmas no. 1 thing, so I went looking for it.

Turns out they sold it as a DVD/BluRay, but didn't release the audio (that I could find).

Anyhoo, thanks to the beauty of hoisting the Jolly Roger and having GarageBand, I'm currently exporting the show track by track for my later enjoyment.

The big difference I’ve found between using my Switch and Steam Deck is that with the Deck, I’m often tweaking settings or getting distracted dicking around in desktop mode; with the Switch (for good or ill) it’s just switch it on and play something.

It’s not a criticism, I enjoy the tinkering! It just hammers home that the Deck is very much more a portable computer than a console.

So, after just 4 short years, my kid finally began the process to get assessed for today, and wouldn’t you know, it seems that he does, indeed, have ADHD.

Absolute fucking shocker.

Now he just has to wait a couple of weeks to speak to a psych about the next steps.

I'm experimenting with a new Preferences dialog for my app. These are never easy to make and are usually hard to navigate due to the volume of labels and buttons.

I'm testing out putting all the setting on a long page with navigation buttons. This replaces the traditional tabbed layout the app currently uses.

It is still an information overload. Maybe I can also make the content searchable?

So Chappelle and Gervais are pretty gross, we know this by now — it might be the final death knell for my Netflix account. I have to be so careful with comedy these days as I am pretty sensitive to fatphobia, transphobia and racism.

What are your favourite stand ups that don’t trade on shock value and edginess (aka barely concealed bigotry)? Bonus points if they have sets online I can watch! Mine are Stewart Lee, Richard Herring, Kate McKinnon and Aamer Rahman.
