done with the second revision of the RK3588 module for MNT Reform (and Pocket Reform as soon as there are DSI display drivers mainlined). i've been running the first rev in my laptop for weeks (months? lost track of time on this one). this rev has a bunch of fixes and new stuff:
—"wifi/bt" connector to support any kind of off-board sdio/uart/usb module for wifi/bt or other things
—lpc spi connection for system controller
—hdmi fixes (4k@60 works now!)
—extra sai audio lines for phone/modem

the same MNT RCORE module in the pcb editor of kicad, 6 layers, it's a maze of crisscrossing signals

the first 18 MNT Pocket Reforms are fully packed and declared and will go out to Crowd Supply this friday. these are all "single" (non-Hyper), black case, white (clicky) kailh choc key models. many more to come.

today, in a really bad move, i plugged in a displayport breakout thing i was working on the wrong way around and fried the DP section of my trusted 10 year old eizo monitor. RIP

also a lot of other little frustrations, and a few minutes ago on the way home the cops suddenly blocked the one way road (left their car there and ran to some crime scene). after a while the cars behind me decided to go backwards so we all drove backwards for a while onto a big crossing. 😵‍💫

it looks like there are cheap replacement motherboards at least for some old eizo models. don't know exactly which one i have, but will check tomorrow.

@SrEstegosaurio i probably applied 5V to some dp line(s) for a while, maybe they didn't have strong enough clamping diodes. you are right though, there's normally a lot of input protection going on on ports.
