As long as provinces are constitutionally responsible for health care, and they want to keep it that way, let them raise their own damn taxes to improve their services. I don't want to pay for health care because I don't live there. You won't agree to Ottawa's terms? Stop whining, Quebec, and get on with the job of looking after your own people.

Thanks to the oilcos jacking up gas prices 10-15 cents per litre in the past week, the 3.3 cent price increase on 1 April will seem like nothing. Last year the oilcos dropped prices 1 week after the carbon price increase. A tactic to keep you from going electric.

WTF is wrong with and the ? Publicly paid school lunches are a need across Canada. But they are a clear, definite responsibility of the provincial governments of Canada, NOT the federal govt. There is no way in hell the feds should pay for this when the armed forces, among many federal responsibilities, are severely underfunded. That is where NDP responsibilities rest. Do YOUR job, Singh, not the Premiers jobs.

The headline of this story says a Federal Judge ordered PM Trudeau and the Justice Minister to "appoint judges faster". That is a total fabrication. The judge has no power to do that. We're seeing story after story about the approaching complete collapse of provincial systems while govts do nothing. In every province, thousands lack access to family physicians while ERs and intensive care units are overwhelmed by numbers of patients. In PEI, like elsewhere, politicians say, "It's getting better". It's not. They will let it collapse to avoid raising taxes while letting private clinics flourish. In 10 years, medicare will be dead in Canada.

Newborns are at risk in their first hours and days of life in Ontario hospitals because of insufficient staff, inadequate facilities. The govt of is, IMO, trying to cause chaos, , in the public system to the point where the people demand private healthcare, private hospitals. Don't bet against it happening. This Arnprior, ON 93-year old minister is selling his prized collection of Coca-Cola memorabilia to help fund the purchase of a CT scanner for the local hospital, a key item of diagnostic equipment for every regional hospital.
