I'm not 100% sold on the whole apple vision plus thing, but this is a cool use for it.

Put timers on top of objects and they stay there while you move around.

Icelandic phone numbers are 7 digits.

5xx-xxxx is usually Reykjavik (and surrounding area)
555-xxxx is usually my old home town (Hafnarfjörður)

Which means when movies go "555-1234" or something, then that's an actual phone number in Iceland.

When movies do this, I'll often look up the phone number in the Icelandic phone book.

Movie: "Yeah, my number is 555-xxxx"
Me: "Nope, that's a dentist in Iceland"

Extra fun. The change to 7 digit phone numbers happened in 1995 (on a Saturday no less), and they made this very catchy song to make everyone remember.

People still remember the song. (lyrics are basically "yes yes yes, I am ready")

Are you new to having a ADHD diagnosis? Welcome. Here are my top 3 tips that might save you some time (and like with all advice, it might not apply to everyone)

  1. Meds are not a solution, they are an aid. You still need to put in the work.
  2. Put stuff you need to remember in your way. Literally and physically.
  3. Create artificial time crunch. Task due next week? No, midnight.
  4. Put work into spotting when you are being impulsive.

Hey math/logic/compsci geeks - do you have a sense of why Hilbert might have believed in decidability? I guess I feel like if you can always just get a procedure, the world should be a lot more magical! But, maybe that's only obvious once you have the idea of a computer?

If you make a UUID of a real diamond and the diamond itself gets destroyed in a fire tomorrow, you still have the same asset.

Because the UUID still exists and is in limited supply just as before. Nothing has changed.

What UUID is doing to the concept of asset, few understand.
