Control Panel, punk edition! 😅

Honestly wasn’t expecting much, pushing a 1-bit screenshot into my raster to vector code but it ain’t bad!

The early Mac System Control Panel as a raster graphic, embiggened.

Well, I just placed orders for boards and parts to build a new Lisa 2/5 around my existing Lisa CPU card, the only part of a Lisa I’ve ever owned.

I would never have thought this was possible if it weren’t for the work of @DosFox who recently built the first new Lisa since 1986! Thanks for the inspiration!

I’ll continue this thread as parts roll in. I may ask (beg) if folks have some parts in your bins! 😀

My first are a pair of 1200 baud modems for the . A Commodore 1670 and an Minimodem-C. I used both of these on my SX-64 and it felt incredibly fast compared to 300 baud!

H/t to @dialupworld for starting the tag!

Playing around with an online bitmap-to-vector that claims to be AI powered.

The first thing I tried was the SimpleText icon (32x32). It took some artistic liberty but I kind of like it.

CMY tangled rules on 11”x15” watercolor. This reminds me of looking up in the sky and seeing the Milky Way. What do you see?

Available in my shop: https://shop.paulrickards.com/wildcards/

CMY of geometric shapes derived from Wolfram's Rule sets. Large areas of orange, green, and purple meander from corner to corner with repeating triangle shapes of various orientations and angles.

Turns out this Power Mac 6100 with the MAXpowr G3 accelerator wasn't enabled because it lacked the extension to enable it! I wonder if the previous owner knew that?

Anyway, I installed it and it bumped it from a 66 MHz PowerPC 601 to 214.5 MHz PowerPC 750! 😎

Screenshot of Newer Tech Gauge Clockometer showing a processor of PowerPC 750 and a speed of 214.50 MHz.

Opened my PowerMac 6100/60AV to clean and assess the condition and was delightfully surprised to find a Newer Tech MAXpowr MXP6100 G3 accelerator. These things are clever in that they act as the original riser card to give you a pass through slot, in this case, for the AV card.
