Hey friends: Can anyone recommend a decent basic text/rtf editor for iOS? I've been writing a lot on my phone lately and Notes just isn't cutting it. Minimal data scraping is ideal, and I don't mind paying a little if needed.

@trixter Another suggestion to try Pages.

It is included with iOS, so if it works for you, then no money out. If it doesn’t there are things to escalate to.

I’m writing lyrics, so I write on the Mac, refine on iPad while looping track sections on the Mac, and use the iPad as the “lyric sheet” while tracking the vocal. (And, in a crunch, sometimes the phone.)

I wish there was a portable, usb-run version of for Silicon Macs. More people would try it out and actually use it that way, if it was easy and risk-free to their partition. The current way to do that is two whole pages of arcane commands on a terminal. It needs automation.

I’ve said before that I believe everyone has at LEAST one TV show from childhood that explains them – offers a philosophy of life, tugs at an unmet need, illustrates an ideal world.

Now I’m extending that theory to show rewatches: which 70s or 80s crime drama/melodrama/police procedural/whatever offer comfort in the present? What does the weird old show you’re watching right now say about your mood, or how you feel about your place in the world?

This has to make sense to a few of you!

@Shelly Well, I don't know as a tv sitcom offered the best fit. Huckleberry Hound might. I certainly enjoying singing songs like Darling Clementine then and now. A couple of years back, I bought the series and I noticed that his singing can be a bit pitchy and he is nigh-on imperturbable, which I think describes me.

Peanuts, the comic strip, especially through the 1960s and into the 1970s, pretty much nailed it as for setting my worldview.

Trump has been convicted for fraud because he raised the value of his properties to get loans, and lowered it to pay less taxes. And he is now getting away with the same tactic in front of the court.

While bragging how infinitely rich he is, he has now convinced the New York appellate court to lower his bond from 464 million to 171 million because of how poor he is.

Do tell us more about the 👐🏻“totally unfair two-tier justice system that is rigged against Trump”.

Absolutely insane. 🤦🏻‍♂️

@randahl Engoron’s initial finding of fact was based on egregious overstatements of value, 33,000 square foot vs.10,000, sending statements of financial condition that had restricted cash showing as unrestricted, not discounting properties for development restrictions.
