Si c'est vrai, c'est priceless, il a faillissié me faire crever de rire. Si ça se trouve c'est son hamster qui a pris possession de son clavier et tapé au pif avec sa queue.

@MonsieurLu @MadameMollette Ah, donc ce n’est pas parce que c’est un langage châtié que je comprends pas toutes les tournures, c’est bien parce qu’il y a des tournures qui veulent rien dire ? X)

Cela dit, si je passe outre les tournures, au lieu de se défendre sur la question de fond, il répond par "vous n’avez pas le droit de me la poser, c’est moi qui vous le dit !"....

(si c’est bel et bien une vraie réponse comme tu le dis bien, d’où je répète consciencieusement ;)

Quelqu'un saurait pourquoi les pots de yaourt en carton "à l'ancienne" étaient de forme tronc-conique et pas cylindrique ?

Est-ce que le matériau joue ? (les pots en plastique semblent toujours cylindriques)
Est-ce que c'était juste la tradition ?

Est-ce que vous connaissez des contre-exemples ?

I missed this last month: France has launched an initiative to reduce textile waste by paying people to repair their clothes instead of throwing them out.

Starting October, people will be able to claim between €6 and €25 of the cost of mending clothes and shoes. The money will come from a €154 million fund and is meant to support businesses in offering more apparel repair services.

@maiwann Je prends le "Grazie" présentée en Biocoop, la version "Doux", je crois. Même si c’est pas parfait, Biocoop a des critères de sélection, et entre les produits présentés, celui-là a un vrai toucher agréable tout en étant recyclé, et... une jolie présentation :D, qui j’ose croire est en phase avec le produit. Il est décrit ainsi : "Un rouleau contient 420 feuilles de 2 plis. 8 rouleaux Lucart = 24 rouleaux classiques. En papier recyclé non blanchi au chlore."

Et, le ressenti va avec.

J’ai mis la main sur un livre, "Le Puy du Faux", qui décrit toutes les approximations et contorsions de l’histoire sur ce lieu. J’imagine qu’au contraire, ils en font la pub sur C8 ?

And I know it will happen naturally someday too, but here, we, and actually even only a small part of the humanity is causing that, a part which we are to some extent somehow entangled with.

@evan Really difficult question.

When we were in 2012, my main concern was that they erected walls preventing us to interoperate with our friends from our platforms (Friendica allowed this).

Nowadays, we not only need to have our own platform with our software to communicate with fellows there, we need our interactions to be preserved.

So, I am not for pushing them to support ActivityPub, so I can’t say "they should". We now have a strong core and appeal, slow & constant, that’s our strength.

Pro tip: you will make your life much easier if you decrypt the encrypted disk image you're working with, instead of wondering why fdisk -l does not show any partitions.

Four years ago I decided to run my own single-user Mastodon instance. Because I knew that staying at a Big Instance would make me part of the relevance sword that power-drunk admins would use to pump up their ego and claim relevance. And now I see at least one admin insinuating to be a stakeholder of the fediverse and thus entitled to represent The Fediverse in seemingly secret talks with Meta.

@jwildeboer @pjakobs I think it is what Hubzilla (and the subsequents projects coming from it, Streams being the last one) achieves, or at least seeks to achieve (there is mirroring of accounts for backup and resistance on failure).

My main concern on Meta (well, the concern has always been there, as it can be any "nasty" instance, just we know they have nasty practices and are big) is : our messages would be parsed and analysed, how can we prevent this ?

Thank you a lot for having built this place and delivered it publicly. This was my first real experience with social media where I felt home (only had a look to FB because I was incited to, but didn’t really used it).

Good surprise to see my account is still there :) With some luck, I followed the migration to Pump.io, it was at a time I took some distance from computers (except for everyday work).
