Having enjoyed exploring the blogosphere a bit through RSS feeder (and somewhat inspired by Simon Reynolds' recent guardian article on blogging) I've been considering setting up an informal blog, for bits of interesting research, unusual sound-related things, etc.
I'm a bit wary of the time-sink it might become, so planned to use the currently redundant 'posts' part of my (wordpress.com hosted) website. Unfortunately there are dozends (hundreds?) of old posts there from when I used to add one for every gig, release etc I did, which I'd not really want to be accessible as they would muddy the waters. There is no 'batch edit' to revert them to drafts - the only way to access the appropriate plug-in would be signing up to 'creator' mode for, get this, £240 a year!
So the other option is manually change each one, which i don't have time for. Or set up a new blog elsewhere, which again feels like time-sink territory.
Will think on.

My favorite label, Mississippi Records, is releasing a vocal album by the sublime, recently departed and much-missed Ethiopian pianist Emahoy Tsegué-Maryam Guèbrou. ("Emahoy" is a nun's honorific, like "Sister.")

I got freshly made "pork rice roll" for 2.50$ this afternoon and it was so delicious. I really wanted to try some of the other things that are not translated into english on the menu but didnt know how to cause pointing wouldnt have worked from the angle the menu was at and it definitely wasnt a place where english was being used much
