Chatting with a work colleague yesterday. He had just come back from a trip to a couple of the National Parks in California. Loved the trees, hated the crowded buses. He had to stand, which hurt his knees. He says there are too few park staff. When I suggested that years of underfunding might have something to do with that, his immediate response was “There are no workers because Biden pays people to stay at home”. #BlameBiden #nationalparks

Disappointed that there's no live feed of the Liverpool Women's game today. Last game of the season, so you'd think they'd show it live. I am listening to an audio feed on the FA's website like it's 1964. Liverpool have little mention of the game on their website. Born in 1906, computer scientist Grace Hopper invented the first compiler for computer programming language & was among the first programmers of the Harvard Mk1 computer.

Hopper popularized the idea of machine-independent programming languages & paved the way to develop COBOL (an early high-level programming language). She originated the term "bug" to describe computer glitches & became a celebrated Rear Admiral in the US Navy.
