Of course, there are still people from the 2020 uprising incarcerated, and they all deserve your support. This site lists some of them and has a great resources page too. If you can’t directly support a prisoner, spreading anti-repression resources far and wide helps support everyone.

Serious question: when and in which contexts did calling people "individuals" emerge as a common practice, as a synonym for people? Or "an individual" for "a person"?

I ask because I'm noticing it in student writing, and I associate it with police-speak. I don't know if it's in some corners of social science or medicine too

Autonomous Zine Fest 2024 is coming! Sunday, June 16, 1-5pm at Powderhorn Park, at the north corner of the lake near the baseball fields. Just show up with a table or blankie (you will also benefit from bringing: a lawn chair, suncreen, and water) and the stuff you want to distro. Charge less than $7 per zine. @CP93 what’s wilder is that people tout police body cams as an accountability measure, when actually they are more often used for gathering evidence which helps to incarcerate people, than they are used for even the mildest disciplinary measures against cops :(

One of my fave places for shirts featuring "provocation as a public service" is COLA: https://www.thecolacorporation.com/ And according to an email they sent today, they got hit with a ridic DMCA takedown letter from none other than the Los Angeles Police Department, for their "Fuck the LAPD" LA Lakers logo image. Here's what their email said:
