Ordered pizzas and scheduled the order for 5pm. DoorDash is being used by the pizza place instead of their own drivers. I started getting messages that they are going to pick it up way early and now there’s an endless cycle of dashers driving there to pick it up but the pizzas aren’t ready so they bail and another dasher gets the order and goes to pick up. It’s on driver number 5 or 6 now. Wow that’s insanity :( I feel so bad for the dashers stolen wages here by the DoorDash order system bug.

It got delivered a few minutes after the scheduled time by their official pizza delivery driver. Ended up cancelled on the doordash side after 5-6 unfortunate souls drove there and went inside for it.

@jerclarke @chris @davidbisset I’m 3 but both monitors can be switched independently between two computers as needed. My main work computer just unplugs one cord and I take it where I need to around the house. That one cord gets access to wired network + many USB devices + two displays. I did have three displays before but honestly the third one distracted more than was helpful. I wouldn’t mind larger displays as my two displays though.

Part of me wonders if I filed tickets with patches for features and posted to the make WP site saying here’s what we are doing and it’s slated for WP 6.6 — how long before that confidence and speaking as “I have some sort of authority” turns into legitimate acceptance 🤣

I’ve always approached things as “hey here’s this, what do you think?” and never spoke with confidence that it was destined to go in core

    @chris @techphotoguy some places have had great PTO available whenever you needed it and called it unlimited. That was awesome. Other places have unlimited PTO but if you are burning out and need a month off then you are told you can’t take any more PTO for the rest of the year…

    I think this is the day that I've finally decided to treat WP as any other propriety software suite with an API that I'm developing against. I'll read release notes and about upcoming features, but I am not going to assume that me or anyone I know can affect those things and that "the community" is simply a collection of user groups that cannot affect things either.

    Seriously wish people would report to plugin devs before .org plugins team for a security issue on a plugin. One fix requires a complete refactor to pass all of standards checks of modern plugin requirements and that may kill one of my older plugins as I just don’t have a time for that right now.

    @Imoptimal these are free plugins I built long ago that I kept on life support, I definitely am over committed right now on things to do and just don’t have the time to refactor them so they pass a full plugin review.

    I could have made the security fixes if someone contacted me direct but since they contacted the .org plugin team first, they pulled the whole plugin and now it needs to pass the full review process.
