I like #Misskey / #Akkoma instances: CDRom Tokyo and MiniDisc Tokyo. All because of the "retro" interface and the names.
However, what frustrates me a lot is the speed issue: cannot load the timeline, it get stuck with no updated for many days or weeks. Takes too long time to post any thing, even just plain text.
I hope it will be solved in a near future because they will be my favorite sites.

If I wanted to start a blog, but had no interest in managing the software of it, which platform should I choose? Honestly been out of the blogging space for so long, I have no idea what the options are outside of managed wordpress.
Is sleeping on the floor good for your back. I'm not a scientist or anything, but I've slept on the floor many times since I first had children, and not once has it ever made my back feel BETTER.

Anyways, stumbled on a blog post about FreeBSD (I boosted earlier from @discoverbsd and went down a rabbit hole reading this entire blog. I admire the dedication of individuals that put this much love into their blog and website.

Helldivers 2 is the perfect model for a live-service game. The progression is brisk -- you can unlock multiple rewards after almost every session -- the cosmetics and premium battle passes can be earned quickly just by playing, and it definitely doesn't hurt that the game itself is an absolute blast.
If you haven't checked it out, #Helldivers2 is basically a 3rd person Left 4 Dead meets Halo with a Starship Troopers vibe.
Debating spinning up another NextCloud server these past few weeks. It would be wonderful get back to Linux as my daily driver but moving some of my data out of iCloud will cause some family issues these days. Still, it's something I can explore and could definitely have some other benefits if I do it right.
@chris The internal fight continues! 😀 It is always good to have a backup and keep your knowledge up to date. It is hard not being in the same ecosystem as family and friends. I’ve tried so many different use case scenarios as you know.
Unfortunately I had to make a decision because I needed to focus on career growth that I have put off for a long time. I had to learn new software that only works in Windows in order to not fall behind. I had to change up my daily for now to Apple.
@chris I wish I was in a different industry to enjoy other platforms as my day job. Who knows maybe I can have a second career after I get this chapter of my life completed. 🤷♂️
@thelinuxcast Would still be nice to make a short video of the status of Linux phones today. I don’t follow it daily but still want to know how close we are to that future.
Overall I feel there is a mixed message where some people are enjoying them and others say it’s not ready. 🤷♂️

For me, it's just the usual work stuff. It's super busy today and will be for the next several days due to us releasing Nova 8.0.16 to the stable channel with a 30% staged roll out. Lots of emails coming in.
Fortnite with friends tonight and not much else beyond that.
