Have you looked into how much it would cost to get this site to at least support Gifs in it’s IMage uploads? It’s going to be hard to compete with other sites or to get funding or ad revenue when you have to host all content except Images on another website. Videos would be very costly to host, but I was thinking just gifs...
I am trying to finally get my homelab organized, and I need assistance visualizing my network. I am just wondering if there are tools out there that assist with this. I have tried the paint and gimp routes, and I find myself spending more time trying to make it look good and organized rather than actually mapping my network. Is...
My company is about to shift a large workload to a vendor that uses an RD Gateway hosted at Amazon to serve access to the front-end application. It’s open to the internet at 443. There’s no MFA. How worried should I be?
Is there no conditional access for the rds portal?
Time for a CYA email to your manager, project manager, and legal voicing your concerns about the lack of security for an rds Gateway and lack of best practices.
bit of a reasoning for why a company as big as Wal-Mart has to do things like cut down expenses or lower wages a little.
So you think it is Ok for a CEO to be paid millions of dollars a year plus stock options with quarterly bonuses in the tens of thousands, while the front line workers are being paid so little that they go to food banks or need second jobs to survive?
I use to work for an ISP and while there are things like unlimited plans, there would also be an Acceptable Use Policy. Where if you are using your service at 100% 24 hours a day we can bill you higher or throttle your speed if it starts effecting other people’s service.
Check with your ISP if they have an Acceptable Use Policy and what penilties you may face.

For a long time, I thought of the blockchain as almost synonymous with cryptocurrencies, so as I saw stuff like “Odyssey” and “lbry” appearing and being “based on the blockchain”, my first thought was that it was another crypto scam. I am trying to build a computer which should be able to run games like Minecraft, Fortnite and CSGO. I have an old computer, but it gets pretty choppy running Fortnite. I was hoping that I could just switch out the graphics card with something like a Radeon RX 6600 and that would be enough....

The reason his responses were fumbling? He’s just a hobbyist that’s managed to get one of his projects into a good enough place to make money off of. Are you expecting a PR team level of response?
For $600/year. I kinda do. If you get to the point of selling something it is beyond a hobby and you should have some form of professional services to outsource this kind of work to.
Is it just me or are system requirements by vendor applications getting out of hand? In the past 5 years I’ve watched the minimum specs go from 2vCPU or 4vCPU with 8GB or 16GB RAM now up to a minimum of 24vCPU’s and 84GB of RAM!...
