@bazcurtis@homeassistant@homeassistant@homeassistantinpills@homeassistant I highly recommend trying it. It opens a new world of possibilities. You can make both devices that are much cheaper than their counterparts available to buy, and ones that are not available at all (combine a few sensors/components in a mix that is not generally available). (1/2)
@bazcurtis@homeassistant@homeassistant@homeassistantinpills@homeassistant You need to add the device (it should be auto discovered by HA and available in settings->devices->integrations), only after doing that it will be able to communicate with HA using its API. On the HA side you need to set up pipelines, it is described in the year of the voice blog post.
I would like to record some game play footage from my XBOX to my M1 MacBook Air. I don’t need a webcam (no wants to see me 😀). I will add some subtitles to it later. I don’t need to stream.
@bazcurtis I’m using one like this: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DEYsdon occasionally. You can open it like this in VLC, where you can also output/record it. Elgato has some more high-end ones, but this should do the job
Broadcom ported my profile over from VMWare, and doesn't know how to handle my name now so I can't sign the download agreement. It also doesn't give me a way to edit my name, either 😛
I tried the support chat, and got an error instead.
@stroughtonsmith Yeah, the first letter of my surname is a (disallowed) „special character”. Broadcom, I’d like to let you know that Unicode is older than you (as a company).
• Yes, it’s coming!
• We’ve been working on it for a while and it’s near completion, just need to finish up controller skins + fix some last bugs
• We didn’t prioritize iPad because plan was to launch in just EU with AltStore PAL (which doesn’t support iPad)
• Obviously plans changed when Apple changed their rules, so we’re prioritizing iPad now and it will come with the next major Delta update (1.6)
• It’s available now for Patrons through regular AltStore 🙂
@rileytestut What’s the plan for EU though? Since you’re distributing Delta through PAL I guess it can’t be made available in EU using it, and you can’t put it on App Store at the same time?
If you want some nice, authentic physical gamepads to go with Delta, remember that Nintendo offer Bluetooth/USB-C versions of the SNES and N64 controllers to Nintendo Online subscribers, and those are fully compatible with all of Apple's platforms.
If you're in Europe or Japan, you can also get versions with the correct button colors 😜
Sometimes you can't help yourself. I had this #HomeAssistant card that showed the live and maximum watts of my solar panels. It didn't show the maximum for the day. It does now 😀 A bad day for testing, but it looks ok.
It is going to be handy over the years to see how it declines over time. This year two. You can see the front (east facing) has already hit the maximum this year. The back (west) will start to kick in more in the coming months.
@bazcurtis That looks good! I think I could adopt that (without the energy storage part, as I don’t have it), but a live pie chart of energy generation distribution (what % of power is being generated by east vs. west circuit) would be useful. I suck at coming up with nice looking dashboards, mine are mostly text based and focused only on basic functionality:/
@MonaApp where can I switch the default language for a post? Every time I start to post it switches to my native language (Polish) while 99% of my posts (if not more) are in English.
@bazcurtis@homeassistant@homeassistant@homeassistant You can only pair homekit device to one system (so either your home on Apple device or Home Assistant). You can pair it to HA, then re-expose to Apple Home via HomeKit bridge in HA.
