That’s fair. I often forget there are ads on the internet. I look at these through an RSS reader and Firefox Enhanced Tracking Protection set to Strict is enough that I hardly ever see an ad.

According to Wikipedia, Texas doesn’t have a “with parental consent” law. If he’s 53, she’s gotta be 17 or older. They wouldn’t be able to get married until she turned 18.

Google Allows Creditors to Brick Your Phone (lemmy.world)

I installed NetGuard about a month ago and blocked all internet to apps, unless they’re on a whitelist. No notifications from this particular system app (that can’t be disabled) until recently when it started making internet connection requests to google servers. Does anyone know when this became a thing?...

I can’t imagine going out of your way to downvote people like that. I don’t have an interest in cigars so I just ignore those communities. If I went around downvoting post in communities I have a problem with, I’d be doing that all day.
