Quite apart from the utter ludicrousness of frothing about a scone recipe, wtf is going on in the picture on the right? That dough is cookie thickness, there’s no way it’s going to rise into a decent scone.

I was accompanied on my walk by Willow, who belongs to our neighbours. We flushed several pheasants, spotted some deer, and both got rather muddy because, yes, it’s raining again.

We got a slightly damp walk in this morning, before the rain really came down. A flask of tea always tastes better in the drizzle, right?

The weather in the Lake District today was dryer, and there were even glimpses of blue sky at one point (not pictured). My camea packed up partway through my walk, so I had to use my phone, anyone else think they look a bit Uncanny Valley?
