Sara - who wants to remain anonymous - was wrongly accused after being flagged by a facial-recognition system called Facewatch.

She says after her bag was searched she was led out of the shop, and told she was banned from all stores using the technology.

Facewatch later wrote to Sara and acknowledged it had made an error.

nb: As much as I dislike Deere, this should be handled completely blameless, the way the FAA handles an investigation. So many lessons to learn here.

Hey, ich habe eine Startup-Idee, und damit werde ich locker einige Milliarden einsammeln!

Onshore-Windturbinen sind ja schwer zu bauen, weil sich die Rotorblätter und Turmbauteile nicht leicht transportieren lassen auf der Straße.

Mein Shoplifter-Startup wird daher einige tausend elektrische Quadcopter-Drohnen kombinieren und mit ihnen das Rotorblatt zur Baustelle und dann zur Montage direkt auf den Turm hieven.

@isotopp Einschränkung: Laut Projektsite sollen das ad hoc airstrips sein, die tatsächlich direkt am Ort des Aufbaus in die Landschaft planiert werden sollen. 6000ft rough terrain landing erscheinen mir als eine goldplattierte Einladung an Murphy, aber die sitzen da schon paar Jahre dran.

Nacktes Erbgut als Krankheitserreger: ein ansteckender -Strang verbreitet sich rasant bei Hopfen und tötet die Pflanzen.
Der Erreger ist besonders heimtückisch, weil er ein Jahr lang keine Symptome verursacht - aber trotzdem ansteckend ist.

Solche Viroide sind total faszinierend. Lange war unklar, wie sie die Pflanzen überhaupt schädigen. Vermutlich wechselwirken sie mit der RNA der Zellen, so dass sie sterben und infektiöses Material freisetzen.

    Du mußt nur den Fahrweg von anderen Verkehrsteilnehmern komplett trennen. Und wenn du schon dabei bist, kannst auch baulich sicherstellen, daß die Karre den Fahrweg nicht verläßt. Dann brauchst auch nicht so breit zu bauen und kannst robusteres/rollwiderstandsärmeres Material verwenden, Stahl zB. Und wenn die Wägen selber fahren kannst sie auch gleich aneinanderhängen.
