It’s perfect timing as just days ago I was assigned a new laptop and committed to only #nix for dev tooling 🤣 I still strongly stand by using Pyenv for anyone who doesn’t love configuring more than productivity 😉

I learned that pip can install from pyproject.toml. Or can it?
pip init doesn't do anything. So step one I have to google to figure out what pyproject.toml format pip can digest.

@mistersql pip can install from a pyproject.toml only project. But since pip is not a backend it can’t create a new pyproject for you (TMO)

Ah yes, updating my OS has once again reveilled the obligatory rooting out of all Xcode that went to ground so I can install a new hundreds of MB of command line tools just to have a minimum working C env

Wow @axodotdev really is as easy as it looks. A few minutes of mindless hacking and I got a full build-release-publish pipeline for my first application. Prior to this I was just running everything through cargo.
