Life is full of opportunities to learn. "Gotta learn something new everyday." Here's a bit more: There are about 6000 solitary bees that live on the NA continent. Most of them make small tunnels in the ground, and some carve holes in wood, e.g. trees, posts, etc. The ground dwelling ones on average go about 6 inches deep. So that woven plastic "landscape cloth" interferes with them. If they are beneath it when installed, they can't get out. If they are above it they can't make proper homes for their babies. Happy Spring!!

About 20% of cholesterol comes from direct consumption. And about 80% comes from sugars and fats. According to this article (https://www.massgeneralbrigham.org/en/about/newsroom/articles/how-is-cholesterol-produced). Cholesterol is the parent compound to all the steroidal hormones, including pregnenalone, DHEA, testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, and vitamin D. So one needs cholesterol, just not too much of it. Oxidized cholesterol turns out to be associated with pathophysiology, in atherosclerosis (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7836017/), and Alzheimers disease (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4473000/) One needs sugars and fats, but the amount is dependent on how one uses those compounds. And the body uses them in all sort of ways, including energy production for exercise.

So cars these days have anti-collision systems. One would think a million dollar boat, with millions of dollars in cargo, approaching a multimillion dollar bridge would have some sort of active sensing system to prevent a collision. That video shows the Dali strolling right into the support. It wasn't a glancing blow, rather it was a direct hit. Either somebody f'd up big time, or major act of sabotage on US territory.

I read in another thread that lenders have an upper limit, around $100M. So #45 could easily use the $500M he claims to have to secure several loans, under that $100M limit to reach the $464M he owes. It's Monday, let's see how the spectacle continues.

Kremlin says the only way to protect Russia is to create a buffer zone with Ukraine (www.yahoo.com)

The Kremlin said on Monday that the only way to protect Russian territory from Ukrainian attacks was to create a buffer zone that would put Russian regions beyond the range of Ukrainian fire. The Kremlin was commenting after President Vladimir Putin raised the possibility of setting up such a zone in a speech after winning...

Gullibility, usually. These people have been conned into voting against their own best interests. Don't blame the victim, blame the con-artist, the fraud. Blame them, and more importantly indict them, and bring them to court.

Thank you for posting the Gauntlet article. I have several patients, and a few friends with LC. And I've had pushback on my relatively strict policies around avoiding infectious disease, especially viral respiratory infections like COVID, and Influenza. The medical establishment is only just beginning to acknowledge and from that to study and understand post-viral syndromes. We have a lot to learn, in regards helping those who have contracted post-viral syndromes. And we won't get to the solutions if we deny the existence of these longterm, disabling maladies. Keep talking, people, our best solutions come when we work together.

I'm not certain about rats specifically, and in humans the marijuana needs to be heated first before it will be psychoactive. If rats were eating marijuana, they'd probably want the seeds which are very nutritious. But marijuana grown for human consumption tends to not have a lot of seeds in it. So I'm with you, there's some pilfering going on. Now, if one could train a nest of rats to enter the evidence room, and bring out MJ, then it would lower the amount of evidence to be brought to court. I'm just 'spit balling' here.

I have two '6 inchers'. One is ever so slightly smaller than the other, so it gets to be the lid. They are my 'daily drivers'. Anytime I want to cook something for just me. Or if I'm making something that calls for garlic, onions, oil, and spices, e.g. tomato sauce, that's where it all starts.
