I mean, I don't know about anyone else, but I'm going to keep my not-obviously-cishet-male ass home, thanks. For some reason I just can't bring myself to trust their government.
So, in order to avoid having no influence, you use all of your influence to advance someone else's ends? Idk man, seems like you could have told Trump to eat a dick on national TV, told the Republican senators that you were never going to have a better chance to get rid of his ass, and voted to convict and bar him from politics if it passed.
Sure, I don't get to be a senator, but the fuck would I want to be a senator for, if that was the price of entry? You get to be a pawn, and get played? Pass, old man.
Well, fun thing about that - once you've decided to start, you've basically popped the lid, and you can use your spec ops teams to end them, too. Shit absolutely sucks, and I hate to say it, but I'm not sure there's a path out of the world where they decide presidents are in fact kings that isn't a river of blood, and I'm not convinced the one we get from letting them have the levers of power after that is a narrower, shallower one.
I would really like an alternative. Does anyone have one?
Yeah, read through this thinking that from my perspective, NTs have some talents I don't, but since they're common people think of them as baseline rather than talents. Shit sucks.
You know the IOC, who have pretty solid reason to know what they're on about, just released a study on this, and it suggests that trans women have a disadvantage as compared to cis women? Because that fits the actual results, where we haven't seen trans women winning 0.5% of competitions in line with their prevalence, nor more, but less? In any distribution there will always be outliers, but even the ones the people causing a culture war (who, incidentally, did focus groups to find the most effective way to make trans people a wedge issue) have found to trumpet from the skies as a "threat to women's sports" because of trans women's "innate advantages" lose all the time. They have one good day and they're dominating.
What was really fuckin wild to me was multiple mutant Michael Phelps coming out and parroting this opinion. Motherfucker, you have a reduced lactic acid mutation and longer arms than is the norm for your height. Should you be stripped of all of your medals, for your innate advantages? Because he's way more unfair than any trans woman anyone has yet found to present to his competition, but that's fine because.... Why?
So for the 99% there is an abolishment of private property, leaving only personal property and public property, everyone has an equal share, and the state has been dissolved?
Because if not, at least one of us doesn't understand communism. It's entirely possible we both don't. Would you be willing to clarify the term as you understand it?

I would like you to consider the possibility that people can both disagree with someone's stances on issues like how to treat queer people, while at the same time not wanting those people to be shot, bombed, starved, etc. There are a lot of people in the world who would see me killed if they had power over me. I am not compelled by that to want them to die, and can in fact want them to live happy lives that last for as long as they want to keep living, without control over the sort of life I lead or how long it lasts.
This issue really evokes my emotions, because of how much I love sports. I think sports are a vitally important part of the human experience. I guess dance is, too, but we’re not talking about dance, in and of itself....
You do you, man, but I feel like getting this het up over a competition you'll never be involved in, have any control over, or be forced to watch, is kind of a waste of lifespan. Are you happier for it? Healthier? Wealthier? Kinda seems like it's just burning more than one second off your life per second for no benefit.
Also, tradition is just peer pressure from dead people, and they told me in school not to give in to peer pressure. We didn't have breakdancing as an event, and now we do. The only constant is change.
I mean, I've seen some of the women's uniforms Nike put up and if they're going to have crotch floss for some events I can't see why they'd leave this out.
There's a difference between finding enjoyment in transgressing lines of expectation in outfits, and finding the experience of your body and social place as wrong, and wanting to change it to better fit with who you are. Yes, for people young enough, gender affirmation largely lies in changing clothes, names, pronouns, but over a lifetime it usually doesn't stop there. Having your body start shifting on you, in ways that aren't congruent with your experienced gender, is godawful and horrifying. Imagine your experience of puberty, but instead of the hormone you had dominant in yours, you got the other one.
You can go ahead and ask me anything about the experience; I was one of those kids, before affirming care was a thing for kids, and my goddess did it suck, and I suffer fallout from it still.
You know what amazes me, is that there are black sovcits. I saw video one of them shot lately, and honestly I appreciated the cops being as boundedly patient with him as I've seen them be with white sovcits, but holy shit I do not get how black people are willing to play that particular game given all of the times the cops have, in very genteel language, failed to uphold professional standards when interacting with someone with more than a minimal amount of melanin.
