They're trying to impeach Biden for literally nothing. They said they'll figure it out as they go. It's a literal witch hunt. They're trying to make impeachments mean nothing so that twice-impeached Trump can shrug his off.
The patient had already made the agonizing decision to start chemotherapy to address her colon cancer, even though she was 30 weeks pregnant. Invariably the law. I doubt they want that to be true, but going to prison in America is essentially a sentence to torture and death. There's no practical penalty for being forced to break the oath.
The party is obsessed with stealing voters from Republicans
What? Democrats don't need to steal votes. Democrat voters outnumber Republicans but a fairly decent margin. It IS as you say: they just need people to vote. Which is why Democrats generally back voting by mail and early voting that Republicans try to stop.
Yep. The goal was to kill all the apps to normalize using their crap. Same thing Google is doing with youtube: make adblockers difficult so that paying for YT red is normalized.

She's not popular enough by far. She kinda fell off once Biden was elected and hasn't had much of the spotlight. That's a problem with name recognition with voters. Also, what's she accomplished that most people would know of?
The issue is incumbency bias: winners are perceived to be able to win again. That and she's VP. If anything happens to Biden, she becomes president. For that reason alone she's a terrible candidate for a democratic primary. Biden would then need a new VP candidate for the election which would be further scrutinized.

When the missile is about to strike Santa's sleigh he opens his bag of tricks and inside it goes into an extra dimensional space. Then later he gives a nice missile, refueled and deactivated with a bow on it, to a Ukrainian artillerist who's been good this year.
If the resident then it will be able to be sold and then the price will fluctuate and it'll be an investment. Unless we have really strict price regulation.
Unless you want the government to own all housing which is a whole can of worms.
The reason people want to own a home is because a lot of people won't be able to afford rent in retirement.
Well firstly Mr. Founder, your employees mostly AREN'T SHAREHOLDERS! Why would they care about other people's profits? They work at Panera, not as part of some start-up. Their individual work isn't going to meaningfully impact on whether or not Panera closes their stores and they lose their jobs. So why should they give a shit? Do YOU care about how viable their wages are? Maybe you should make all your employees shareholders and they've have some incentive to want the stock to rise?
Should be a fine of $10,000 per customer whose data was breached. Plus any costs associated from each customer for stolen identities. Plus cost for identity protection services for each customer.
Comcast: we'd go out of business!
Good. Then the government can auction off your infrastructure (really the US's since we paid for most of it) and the next company won't fuck around with data.
Oh, and if the company tries to hide data breaches, it's a $1M fine per customer breached plus 10% yearly gross revenue as a fine, on top of the above.

You can not have sex with your employee or employer. The power dynamic ensures it can never be totally equal and there will always be some duress. If someone holds the power over your finances including your health insurance, saying No is never that simple.
I was considering buying a Chevy Bolt lately to use as my daily commuter but found out it collects a lot of data and phones it back. It’s hard to do research on what kind of EV I could buy that doesn’t collect your location data so I’m hoping someone here might have some good suggestions.
Probably not. You can modify cars pretty extensively and insurance doesn't care. As long as it's road legal, which is a very low bar in most states. There have been ECU mods forever and those are still covered.
I understand. Some people think fetuses are babies, people, at that point. And they see abortion as murder. And if you think a fetus is a person, then it IS murder. It's a completely valid position. Not one I think is correct, but it's easy to see how they get there.
And if you believe that then you also believe in slavery for the mother. There's no other precedent for someones literally supporting the life of another that can't be transferred to another guardian. And if you think a fetus is a person you'd not excuse abortion for anything, even rape. Which then means you'd think raping someone can enslave them bodily.
Also most of those people have so little regard for actual babies and do so little to protect them that their stance rings hollow. And they also aren't willing to extend legal benefits as if they were babies. So their actions contradict their stated values and they aren't taken seriously.
That link linked to /modcoord at perhaps dozens of moderators promised to leave, which is far more impactful than users. I know just from watching kbin, lemmy and other sites grow from this summer on that hundreds to thousands likely left reddit. Unfortunately it's probably a drop in the bucket but Web 2.0 was always probably going to win. The only real way I can see of us getting out of that en masse if when each site inevitably kills themselves through mismanagement.
If you're seeing them here, there was quite a bit here where posting old memes was a thing. It wasn't just then making it to the fediverse, but nostalgia posting.
I don’t think this will be an issue with the regulars, but because I’m paranoid about some random users coming in, it’s okay to be gay or transgender or whatever you identify as. Saying otherwise is bigotry, rule 1.
It's not a problem. Rather, exposure to sex isn't. I'm not going to get into if modern porn is harmful. But sex isn't a traumatic thing. It's one of the things everyone who wants to gets to experience in their lives.
