Today is another indictment day. An important one relating Trumps conspiracy to attempt a violent coup. Part of it was to use the Insurrection Act to suppress the population (I hate Mike Flynn). Anyone doing anything different in advance of a trial or 2024 by way of preparation?
@Emu I'm over 60 and still have all my faculties, I can assure you. Thirty-plus years ago, it was hard for me to imagine what I would be like at 60 but its actually not different, at least from the life of the mind perspective. I think your position is ageist and is itself generational thinking. Nevertheless, I have favored term limits for many years, including when I was young. The 25th Amendment was enacted and ratified to address Presidential incapacity after President Wilson became mentally incapacitated and his wife took over the office when no one was legally able to remove him.

Apparently one of the lemmy.ml admins was overzealous in banning all User-Agent strings that contained the word "bot". Bans were entered for all of the individual strings containing that word which were observed in their webserver logs, which impacted kbin's reported agent of "kbinBot"....
@blightbow Thanks. I appreciate the work that the admins here do. Kbin-social is a nice landing pad for this reddit refugee. That said, I don't have an interest in posting to lemmy.ml because they seem to be a bunch of tankies, which is being generous. The question in my mind is why kbin-social hasn't returned the favor and banned them as well as their gulag archipelago instance?
@MiscreantMouse This is why I’m of the opinion that defederating from anything that smacks of Meta or Threads should be done immediately. Zsuck supports Russian bots, Alt-right Insurrectionists and hate speech and has done so since 2015, in other words, longer than Elon. Should be walled off and removed like a cancerous tumor. In my view, that should include any instance that signed an NDA with them.
I saw a survey of instances that indicated many are taking a “wait and see” approach, which is mystifying. What do people think they are find that they don’t already know about Meta?

Fidelity just reduced the valuation of the company - again. At some point between Fidelity and Tencen the investors may throw his ass out, which would be fitting. I've been in touch with the mod there and when I made a similar post about Kbin last week it was removed by the Reddit admins, not the sub mods. They wanted to let me know it wasn't them. Spez has been doing all sorts of shit like that, Its one big reason why I'm done with Spezzit. Post in the m/liberalgunowners magazine here on Kbin-social.
@vaprz Sorry this happened to you. I'm not surprised. Mods are going to be thrown over the side at an accelerating rate IMO. The protest is indeed hurting F u/spez otherwise he wouldn't have to do this. My opinion is that he will do whatever it takes to try to get his numbers back up and his ability to sell Reddit and buy his island depends on it.
