The man can say what he wants and it's nothing to do with Linux. And, his gun stance seems fair to me. I think he is an intelligent man, and I think he's allowed to say his thoughts without some lame arse trying to tie his ideals to the OS. Move on, nothing to see here.
all the data are mine all the money is mine. mine. mine. mine.
a totalitarian content vacuum, they created nothing : everything is written by you, linked by you and curated by you and now they want to charge you for looking at it.
No one talks about how bad it is to have tons of little LEDs in your eyes. My eyes are already messed up, and I can't use VR for more than an hour before I feel like I want to die. So it's a HARD pass from people like me. Talk to me once you put screens in the walls, not on them.

I use an old computer that is reasonably energy efficient and have Unraid. 3 NAS hard drives, 1 SSD for cache, a USB for the OS, and that's it.
Using the dockers on inbuilt app store, I have Filebrowser, Syncthing, Qbittorrent, Mumble as the most used. Filebrowser faces outward and is a simple replacement for Nextcloud.
I'm not technologically minded but it wasn't hard to setup or use. It mostly stores backups for photos.

Even though the graph shows the growth spike from April to June, in reality it's even more stark than that. We have gone from 20 users to 100 users in a week!
We'll be spinning up a kbin instance soon too, and when we do, we might shut down registration on the lemmy instance. We'll keep them up for now though, given the load on lemmy.ml from reddit migrations

Any of y'all have a NAS? What's your setup?
Curious what you've got installed on it. What do you use a lot but took awhile to find? What do you recommend?
