Habe kürzlich das "Sound & Fury" album von Dust Bolt gehört. Ich wusste ja vorab, dass es etwas anderes sein würde als vorherige Alben.
Finde es aber gut!
Kann verstehen, wieso man als langjähriger Fan vielleicht enttäuscht ist. Einfach, weil es nicht das ist, was man wahrscheinlich erwartet hat.
Dennoch ein gutes Album, finde ich. Mir als Gelegenheitshörer taugt es jedenfalls. Und respektabel, dass die Jungs tun, was ihnen gefällt. Egal, ob sie Vllt treue Fans dabei verlieren.
For this week's #ThursDeath, a one-song slab of death I can't stop listening to from Kentucky's CELL INTRUDER. They just released this "Rapid Detorsoing" demo in January and it RIPS. Psyched to see what else these guys do.
@HailsandAles Thot? It has potential, there are parts that don't quite gel for me, but the overall album is good. I had to adjust to the mixing of French and English vocals as that is not a language pairing I'm used to, but that is something I am adapting to.

@HailsandAles its hard to know with power metal cos people like different bands for different reasons. I like both the bands you've mentioned but I do think UTA are better musically. I think people are very quickly hit or miss with individual power metal bands. 😀

Ostatnio z różnych przyczyn trochę słabo u mnie ze słuchaniem "nowej" muzyki i szukaniem rzeczy do polecenia. Natomiast mimo wszystko staram się na podstawie różnych polecajek znaleźć coś dla siebie i o to są:
Ulver, album "Nattens Madrigal" - może nie tyle, że polecam, co zacząłem doceniać. Wiele osób lubi Ulvera, jako jeden z klasycznych blackmetalowych zespołów lat 90., który łączył to z folkiem (czy jak niektórzy mówią - z lasem). Osobiście ich fanem nie jestem, a do tej polecanej płyty podchodziłem drugi raz i przyznaję, że zaczyna to trochę bujać. Jest to kiepsko zrealizowane, ale może też na tym polega urok takiej muzyki. Warto znać.
Arckanum, album "Kostogher" - kompletne ideologiczne i muzyczne blackmetalowe szaleństwo ze Szwecji z 1997 roku. Da się tego słuchać, choć żadnego hitu tutaj nie uświadczycie - to trzeba poznawać jako całość i być gotowym na dość... awangardową sztukę. Nie mam na myśli tutaj awangardowego BM, tylko po prostu coś, co wyłamuje się z różnych schematów. A ideologia, tradycyjne, mnie nie interesuje.
Paysage D'Hiver, album "Paysage D'Hiver" - słuchającej tej płyty szwajcarskiego jednoosobowego projektu z 1999 roku zaczniecie rozumieć, co to lo-fi oraz ambient. Takiej piwnicy pod kątem produkcji nie uświadczyłem jak dotąd nigdzie indziej i nawet wczesny Darkthrone nie jest tego bliski. Po jakimś czasie nudzi, natomiast bywa to solidnie agresywne.
Marduk, album "Plague Angel" - wiadomo, Marduk to Marduk, ich styl da się wyczuć z daleka. Ta płyta nie odbiega od wyobrażenia muzyki tego zespołu, choć są dwa utwory nieco dłuższe, w których perkusja nie napiernicza jak karabin przez cały czas. No lubię ich twórczość, co poradzić.
This was released in 2011 when I was really getting into Metal. I think it's a fantastic entry from a long lasting band. 'For All Kings' in 2016 was also pretty good.
Apparently there will be a new album in 2024, but I suppose we'll see.

As always, apologies to those who don't like gross death metal (keep scrolling!) but for those who DO like gross death metal, I somehow missed this LP from GORUPTED (a one man band/project from France) last year. No idea how.
This might've made my favorite albums list from last year, had I heard it. It's THAT good of gross death metal.
