Okay, after posting thst I realized that it’s not always clear when I’m being sarcastic versus a huge nerd, and I assure you that was extremely nerdy excitement 😂
This is part 4 of a series of articles that defines our approach to frontend performance optimization. In this part we squeeze more performance out through delivery optimization.
DrupalCon Portland will likely be remembered for the #drupal Starshot announcement from @dries. Now that I (and others) have had a few days to think about what it means, I have some thoughts:
Sigh, I spent hours and hours working with a client to figure out why #GoogleAnalytics stopped being reported for their #Drupal site. Turns out to be a two line bug in the google_tag module that made a checkbox checked by default no matter what value was selected before.
Discovered yesterday that Masto embeds do not work on our Drupal site -- as in they are not visible on the public facing page, although they appear fine in the back-end editor. Anybody here know what might be the issue? I embed other <iframe> stuff all the time and have never had this problem before. Any and all suggestions welcome. #FediHelp#drupal#mastodon
@Archnemysis
Thx for responding. I had to check that out. The embed code IS in the source, just not rendering on the page. Pics below should illustrate the issue pretty well, I think.
@GuerillaOntologist Interesting. This feels to me like some type of CSS issue hiding it or something blocking the Mastodon.social embed.js. I tried on a sandbox on my end and it loaded just fine. In Inspector, under Sources, do you see the source for Mastodon.social and the embed.js file loading?
Just added a new hotel to the website to help anyone looking for accomodation. The Trecastell Hotel is a few miles from Cemaes, but is only a 5 minute or so drive away. Busses are available as well as a possible ride sharing option if enough people are interested. Their Sunday carvery is quite tasty as well! (I went a couple of weeks ago)
Tickets are still available for the event, book your #Drupal weekend on #Anglesey today!
If you're in the #drupal community, you probably know this to be true, but here's a couple of data points as well as some action items to get things going in the right direction:
The #Drupal IXP Community Initiative aims to incentivize organizations to hire new, inexperienced Drupal developers by rewarding them with Drupal community contribution credits. We’d love your opinion on what an inexperienced Drupal developer should actually know! Please complete our survey by June 1:
@wimleers Done - but I have a few more posts already scheduled that already have their links shortened, so it'll be a few days before you see the change 👍

Fantastic blog post from @philipnorton42 where he provides an in-depth overview of various #drupal contrib modules related to user logins (with a focus on security). Even if you’ve been around Drupal for awhile, I’ll bet everyone will learn something from this article:
