The more I'm getting my hands dirty with Autonomous Systems, BGP and routing in general, the more I believe the art of routing is simply sending packets left and right and hoping some will reach the destination. Routing experts also hope the response packets reach, by the process of random luck, the sender.

What.... Is there some transatlantic outage / cable broken or some routing broken in Asia?

None of the DPRK publicly facing IP addresses reply either on pinging or DNS resolution.

Even pinging stops at an Hong Kong IP address.

Some cybercriminals with [presumably] spoofed IPv4's are trying to #pwnat my @pfSense - box whilst also hammering #telnet.

#ISP #TechSupport is either criminally incompetent or refuses to acknowledge the issue...

And this is why you should alyways block known #Military / #Intelligence networks, because even if they don't target you, cybercriminals will #BGP-hack or #spoof their #IP|s.
