This is the biggest on Earth, and it's in .

The is on Canada's East Coast and it sits between and . And it's enormous.

Twice a day, these waters ebb and flow, and in some places, they rise up to 18 metres — that's nearly 60 feet.

At low tide, the waters recede up to five kilometres, leaving behind 1,000 square kilometres of mud.

This is the #electoralDistrict in which #ChristoFascist #nazi #FayteneGrasseschi is running.

This area includes the beautiful river community of #Hampton - a wooded and slow-paced community.

#StMartins is home to one of our summer tourist attractions - tall caves carved into towering cliffs from the force of The #BayOfFundy - the fastest and highest tides in the world!

Beginning in St. Martins and ending in #Alma is the #FundyTrailParkway and #FundyNationalPark, featuring one of the 50 Hardest hikes in the World!

The beauty of this region is overwhelming.

Aside from Faytene, St. Martins has another adversary: #KathrynMcCain of #McCainFrozenFoods has been buying large swaths of property to build a private golf course - the antithesis of all the publicly accessible parks in the area.

Folks, if we don't protect this stuff, it will be gone forever.

Sunset Baxter’s Harbour
Baxter’s Harbour on the Bay of Fundy has a rough, rocky beach but this tranquil place frequently rewards with beautiful sunsets such as this one. Fortunately for us, it’s only 10 minutes’ drive from home. Enjoy your weekend, friends. …,

Long Beach Sunset
There is little enough peace in the world, so we appreciate the calm moments that we’re so fortunate to experience here. I’m very happy to share this one with you all. Goodnight, dear friends.

I hope you all have a peaceful evening. This sunset photograph was taken from the shore, near Huntingdon's Point, I think, looking over the past Isle Haute - a misnomer, as it is a flat island, (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isle_Haute) not high at all, and towards the New Brunswick coast. @harold
Looking also to you friends, far out west who still have the sunset to come, I hope yours is lovely.

This is an amazing beach during shorebird end-of-summer migration. As the tide comes in, birds fattening up on the mud flats get pushed up to the shore, concentrating their numbers. There can be hundreds, thousands, hundreds of thousands depending on your timing and they are quite the thing to see in flight.

What caught my attention here were the flags. Canada/Acadia/Nova Scotia. But the 4th? Mi'kmaq Grand Council flag!

Full Moon, Nova Scotia

This view is over the Minas Basin which is part of the Bay of Fundy water. We have rich red sandy cliffs and beaches and the lowest (or highest, depending) tides in the world here. Although this was taken years ago, we do have a full supermoon tonight.

For your enjoyment, Fedi Friends. Have a great day.

Houston's Beach,
Known to us as 'Strawberry Beach'.

One day in October 2012,there were strawberries as far as the eye could see on this beach on the . No kidding. Where did they come from? There must have been a line of 1/2 km 18″ wide, of strawberries on the waterline. And that’s just the that we could see.

Cobequid Bay is an inlet of the Bay of Fundy, home of the world's highest tides

The Minas Basin forms the eastern part of the Bay of Fundy. Because of the amount of silt constantly churned by the power of the tides, the water here is muddy, or reddish brown and opaque. And the low tide on this day revealed a secret from the past...the remnants of a slipway. https://fineartamerica.com/featured/slipping-away-karen-cook.html

Kingsport Beach in Winter
This was taken some years ago, on one of those special evenings when it was worth freezing your hands (and everything else) off to get the photo. The tide was fairly high and filled the beach with blocks of ice. The sunset tinted everything pink.
