I really need to look into reactive/attack infrastructure options for these data scrapers.
I want them to get fucked up when they touch pagan.plus. Cryptolocked with no recovery key for ignoring robots.txt. Errors and endless loop back trees when scraping a profile. bad offenders get logged and added to a list I can feed to a ddos service
I am so fucking done with tech idiots that want to piss all over everyone else just because Facebook and Twitter get away with it
Feel free to suggest any #hex or #curse that would fit in a text string, image, or other digitally deliverable format and I'll keep the suggestion list for later 👍 :cursed: :HexadecimalReboot:
I’ve been working with the LEEDS 2023 Year of Culture on telling their story with data. You can look at the data microsite that I built along with the team at Open Innovations here -> https://data.leeds2023.co.uk.
I’ve had fun on the last proper day before Christmas making a page which lays out the striking ward motifs created during The Gift project in the same layout as our hex maps. I think it looks lovely!
Loving these Hag Stones 🥰 have you worked with them before? I often use them during castings to conjure spiritual energies to strengthen my manifestations. I also like to wear one as a pendant too. Wearing a Hag Stone helps to ward off negative energies and is believed to prevent hexes/curses.
The idea is to create a series of vector resource packs for players, designers, and makers of games. Starting with sci-fi character silhouettes. Hand for adding a bit of interest to character sheets, or as playing pieces, or however you can think of using them.
You'd pay once to download the vectors, and then you could use them in any personal or commercial way you wanted. The only stipulation being - you can't resell or repackage the work.
This is something my local social justice hexing group is doing tonight. I make them a little booklet when we do this stuff so people can add notes about what works for them & what doesn't.
I'm creating my ladder with 13 small iron nails & twine. I will release 1 each day, starting tomorrow, & hammer it onto a picture of Christofacists from Jan 6, standing in front of the Capitol that I mounted to a board. I'm going to hammer them into a circle around the image on the board. I'll post a pic of that when it's complete. I have a saying for each knot that I untie and for when I hammer it into the board.
I just had the stupid idea that we could try to create something like r/place. Basically people could comment coordinates/color, x,y,#HEX, and the bot would need to validate that syntax and delete comments that fail validation as well as comments from posters who previously made a comment.
The magic of turning this into an image would have to happen elsewhere though.
Details of the "KangaPack" packer (used in Fluhorse). It packs the payload in its own classes.dex format.
Also, it's a good opportunity to use ImHex - a lovely hex editor with pattern editor etc.
I'm not one for "New Year's resolutions", but I am one for overly ambitious projects.
For 2023, Project365 is "One New Game Per Day".
Given that I have 634 unplayed games in my Steam account and {mumble} unredeemed bundle Steam keys, there's a reason my unplayed collection is tagged "Pile of Shame".
I'll pin this to my profile, and give a brief summary here each day (or x, if I miss x days due to work or stuff).
I'll play 15-30 minutes of (at least) one new game I've never played before (or played less than 15 minutes of). I'll give every game at least 15 minutes, even if I hate every minute of it.
I'm also open to suggestions; if you reply to this thread with a game, I'll schedule it, or tell you what I thought of it.
One of the things that's come up is that I have a bunch of games that I've played once, and not touched again.
Mar 31, 2023 - Day 90 - NewPlay Review
Total NewPlays: 97
Game: Panzer Corps Gold Edition
Platform: Steam PC
Release Date: Jul 10, 2011
Library Date: Mar 13, 2018
Unplayed: 1844 (5y18d)
Playtime: 23m
It should have been obvious from the name that I would not enjoy this game.
Any game that has me playing as the Nazis is not a game I want to play.
This is a hex-based strategy game AND I have to play as the Nazis? Ugh.
I got to 23 minutes because I try to at least finish the tutorial missions I start.
I finished the first two tutorials and dipped. Panzer Corps Gold Edition is over 11 years old, feels older, and again: you're playing as the Nazis, and that just feels a bit too on the nose in 2023.
Who could use a new Mod Bot? (github.com)
