I haven't heard the album yet, probably won't ever hear it except whenever various songs trickle in through the membranes of my social media bubble. But I can tell you right now, I don't need a bearded white man in the Washington Post to tell me what I ought to think about Beyoncé’s country music album.

Pieces of You by is an uncomfortable, unexpected song from Jewell. It makes me sad. Angry. And ultimately, empathetic to others.

Warning - some gay slang in the song, used with purpose and meaning.

I quite often get emails from musicians, usually ones I know or ones who are starting off.

So receiving a direct email was hardly a surprise, except that sender was not only an established musician from the USA, but an experienced actor, Abigail Killmeier, with quite a TV and film history, appearing in “Fantasy Football” and “This is Us”.

She releases music under the name, Abigail Fierce and her music is available on all streaming platforms.

Abigail is an extremely talented musician and singer-songwriter.

Abigail writes all of her own music, and plays all of the instruments on her songs, except for drums. She's working on learning the drums.

She plays acoustic and electric guitar, bass, ukulele, and piano, but her most unique talent lies in her poetic, visceral, often poignant, songwriting.

She has over 4 million total streams on Spotify, under her artist name "Abigail Fierce."

Nick Mulvey - Wake Up Now (2017)

Absolutely obsessed with this folky rootsy sprinkled with world music album. Just beautiful, uplifting, charming, and surprising.

His shaky Conor Oberst-like vocals add such lovely uncertainty & frailty to everything.

Listening to Jungles album, "Volcano". A soulful eclectic dance album that pulls the sounds and vibes of the past into something new.

My favorite tracks so far...

Back in 74.
I've been in love.
Don't play.

Over all, I give it a solid 4 out 5 stars.

I'm recording new material so it's time to get feedback on older material! I need five people to listen to this song:

https://etherdiver.bandcamp.com/track/the-inscrutable-oracle-of-the-night-cafe

And offer any feedback you have. Practice those #MusicReview skills! Get better at #critique! Just vent for a bit!

I'll take feedback on everything from the conception and composition of the track to the mixing and mastering.

If you can't listen, consider a boost? Or... Both!?!
