After months of rumors, Apple has announced its new iPad line-up, which includes the first iPad Pro with an OLED display.
This major screen upgrade should deliver 1,600 nits of peak brightness for HDR content, and is joined by a “fresh design, more powerful internals, and a thinner profile than ever before.” Here’s more from @theverge.
LG's launched its 2024 TV range in Australia -- here's my thoughts on what's new, plus pricing and availability details. Also HUGE TVs, if you like that kind of thing.
Did anyone else notice that SteamOS began to record playtime for non-Steam games recently, or is this something that came with one of my Decky :steamdeck: Steam Deck plugins?
@bloodaxe I have tried both and I can't really notice much difference on stuff in movement, but stuff like hud / text will look sharper (and smaller) on the ROG Ally
This new Dock by @jsaux? Despite some minor flaws, it might be their best product yet. It turns out to be the best :steamdeck: Steam Deck Dock on the market right now, offering HDMI 2.1, DP 1.4, VRR, and ALLM. Using it for my MBP as daily driver now, which tells you something. 👀
Okay, I need a 32" TV for my bedroom. #HDR is a MUST! anyone have any NON-#SAMSUNG suggestions? NO NEED for #DolbyVision. Prefer #LG, but just need #LCD/#OLED that can hang on wall. TV is ~10 ft from head of bed - if that makes a diff. Only using w/AppleTV 4k Gen2. No TV tuner requirement.
@lisamelton@jann Well, all I know is that a file with only DV gives me a purple colored weirdness, and one with DV+HDR10 gives me HDR10. None end up with DV in the output.
Recently, we’ve replaced our tiny 32” 10 years old Sony LED TV with a brand new 48” #LG C3 #OLED. It’s crazy how different it is. The vibrant colors, 4K resolution and WebOS! It integrates with HomeKit out of the box.
I hate the entire AI picture and sound schtick and the home menu is full of “sponsored” content, but you can turn it off.
We use it with Apple TV and it’s perfectly fine as just a nice display!🥰
